1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
2 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, and it has fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bound by these limits:	2 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: quando sarete entrati nella terra di Canaan ne avrete per mezzo della sorte preso possesso, essa sarà, limitata da questi confini.
3 The southern part shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is next to Edom, and it shall have the Sea of Salt as a limit to the east.	3 La parte del mezzogiorno comincerà dal deserto di Sin, vicino a Edom, e avrà per confini ad oriente il mar di Sale,
4 It shall circle on the south side along the ascent of the Scorpion, by this way crossing into Senna, and passing through, from the south, as far as Kadesh-barnea, from which its confines shall go out to the town called Adar, and extend even to Azmon.	4 poi girando al mezzodì della salita dello Scorpione, passerà per Senna e si estenderà al mezzogiorno, fino a Cadesbarne, poi continuerà fino al villaggio d'Adar, estendendosi fino ad Asemona,
5 And its limits shall go around from Azmon to the Torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the shore of the Great Sea.	5 per girare da Asemona fino al torrente d'Egitto e finire al lido del mare grande.
6 Then the western region shall begin from the Great Sea, and the same shall be its end.	6 La parte occidentale comincerà al Mar grande e finirà allo stesso mare.
7 Furthermore, toward the northern region, its limits shall begin from the Great Sea, passing through even to the highest mountain.	7 A settentrione i confini cominceranno dal Mar grande e arriveranno fino al monte Altissimo,
8 From there, it limits shall advance into Hamath, as far as the limits of Zedad.	8 poi andranno verso Ernat fino ai confini di Sedada,
9 And its confines shall go all the way to Ziphron, and to the village of Enan. These shall be the limits on the northern side.	9 e si stenderanno fino a Zefrona e al villaggio di Enan. Questi saranno i confini dalla parte di settentrione.
10 From there, its limits shall be measured, facing the east side, from the village of Enan as far as Shepham.	10 I confini orientali saran tracciati dal villaggio di Enan fino a Sefama.
11 And from Shepham, the boundaries shall descend into Riblah, opposite the fountain of Daphnis. From there, the boundaries shall pass through, opposite the east, to the Sea of Chinnereth,	11 Da Sefama scenderanno a Rebla, di faccia alla fontana di Dafnim, poi si stenderanno ad oriente, fino al mare di Ceneret
12 and shall extend as far as the Jordan, and, at the furthest extent, shall be enclosed by the Sea of Salt. You shall have this land, with its borders all around.”	12 giungeranno al Giordano e finalmente saran chiusi dal mare di Sale. Tale sarà il vostro territorio coi suoi confini d'ogni parte ».
13 And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, saying: “This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord has ordered to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.	13 E Mose, trasmesso ai Figli d'Israele l'ordine, aggiunse: « Questa sarà la terra, di cui prenderei e possesso a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato si dia alle nove tribù e mezza,
14 For the tribe of the sons of Ruben, by their families, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the number of their kinships, and also one half of the tribe of Manasseh,	14 giacchè la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo le sue famiglie, la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo il numero delle sue parentele, e la metà della tribù di Manasse,
15 that is, two and a half tribes, have received their portion across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, toward the eastern side.”	15 cioè due tribù e mezza, han già ricevuta la loro parte al di là del Giordano, dirimpetto a Gerico, dal lato d'oriente ».
16 And the Lord said to Moses:	16 E il Signore disse a Mosè:
17 “These are the names of the men, who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,	17 « Ecco i nomi di coloro che vi divideranno la terra: Eleazaro sacerdote, Giosuè figlio di Nun,
18 and one leader from each tribe,	18 e un principe di ciascuna tribù,
19 whose names are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;	19 i nomi dei quali sono i seguenti: della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figlio di Iefone;
20 from the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;	20 della tribù di Simeone, Samuele figlio di Ammiud;
21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;	21 della tribù di Beniamino, Elidad figlio di Caselon;
22 from the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;	22 della tribù dei figli di Dan, Bocci figlio di Iogli;
23 of the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod;	23 dei figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù di Manasse, Hanniel figlio di Efod;
24 from the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;	24 per la tribù di Efraim, Camuel figlio di Seftan;
25 from the tribe of Zebulon, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;	25 della tribù di Zàbulon, Elisafan figlio di Farnac;
26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel the leader, the son of Azzan;	26 della tribù di Issacar, il principe Faltiel figlio di Ozan;
27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;	27 della tribù di Aser, Ahiud figlio di Salomi;
28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”	28 della tribù di Nettali, Fedael figlio di Ammiud ».
29 These are the ones that the Lord has ordered to divide the land of Canaan to the sons of Israel.	29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore comandò di fare la divisione della terra di Canaan tra i figli d'Israele.
