1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
2 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, and it has fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bound by these limits:	2 צו את בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם באים אל הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה
3 The southern part shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is next to Edom, and it shall have the Sea of Salt as a limit to the east.	3 והיה לכם פאת נגב ממדבר צן על ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים המלח קדמה
4 It shall circle on the south side along the ascent of the Scorpion, by this way crossing into Senna, and passing through, from the south, as far as Kadesh-barnea, from which its confines shall go out to the town called Adar, and extend even to Azmon.	4 ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה תוצאתיו מנגב לקדש ברנע ויצא חצר אדר ועבר עצמנה
5 And its limits shall go around from Azmon to the Torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the shore of the Great Sea.	5 ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה
6 Then the western region shall begin from the Great Sea, and the same shall be its end.	6 וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה יהיה לכם גבול ים
7 Furthermore, toward the northern region, its limits shall begin from the Great Sea, passing through even to the highest mountain.	7 וזה יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר
8 From there, it limits shall advance into Hamath, as far as the limits of Zedad.	8 מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה
9 And its confines shall go all the way to Ziphron, and to the village of Enan. These shall be the limits on the northern side.	9 ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה יהיה לכם גבול צפון
10 From there, its limits shall be measured, facing the east side, from the village of Enan as far as Shepham.	10 והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שפמה
11 And from Shepham, the boundaries shall descend into Riblah, opposite the fountain of Daphnis. From there, the boundaries shall pass through, opposite the east, to the Sea of Chinnereth,	11 וירד הגבל משפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבול ומחה על כתף ים כנרת קדמה
12 and shall extend as far as the Jordan, and, at the furthest extent, shall be enclosed by the Sea of Salt. You shall have this land, with its borders all around.”	12 וירד הגבול הירדנה והיו תוצאתיו ים המלח זאת תהיה לכם הארץ לגבלתיה סביב
13 And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, saying: “This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord has ordered to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.	13 ויצו משה את בני ישראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשר צוה יהוה לתת לתשעת המטות וחצי המטה
14 For the tribe of the sons of Ruben, by their families, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the number of their kinships, and also one half of the tribe of Manasseh,	14 כי לקחו מטה בני הראובני לבית אבתם ומטה בני הגדי לבית אבתם וחצי מטה מנשה לקחו נחלתם
15 that is, two and a half tribes, have received their portion across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, toward the eastern side.”	15 שני המטות וחצי המטה לקחו נחלתם מעבר לירדן ירחו קדמה מזרחה
16 And the Lord said to Moses:	16 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
17 “These are the names of the men, who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,	17 אלה שמות האנשים אשר ינחלו לכם את הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושע בן נון
18 and one leader from each tribe,	18 ונשיא אחד נשיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את הארץ
19 whose names are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;	19 ואלה שמות האנשים למטה יהודה כלב בן יפנה
20 from the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;	20 ולמטה בני שמעון שמואל בן עמיהוד
21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;	21 למטה בנימן אלידד בן כסלון
22 from the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;	22 ולמטה בני דן נשיא בקי בן יגלי
23 of the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod;	23 לבני יוסף למטה בני מנשה נשיא חניאל בן אפד
24 from the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;	24 ולמטה בני אפרים נשיא קמואל בן שפטן
25 from the tribe of Zebulon, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;	25 ולמטה בני זבולן נשיא אליצפן בן פרנך
26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel the leader, the son of Azzan;	26 ולמטה בני יששכר נשיא פלטיאל בן עזן
27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;	27 ולמטה בני אשר נשיא אחיהוד בן שלמי
28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”	28 ולמטה בני נפתלי נשיא פדהאל בן עמיהוד
29 These are the ones that the Lord has ordered to divide the land of Canaan to the sons of Israel.	29 אלה אשר צוה יהוה לנחל את בני ישראל בארץ כנען
