Ezekiel 6

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 E la parola di Dio si fece a me, dicendo:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and you shall prophesy against them,	2 O figliuolo d'uomo, poni la tua faccia ai monti d' Israel, e profeterai a loro.
3 and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and hills and cliffs and valleys: Behold, I will lead over you the sword. And I will destroy your exalted places.	3 E dirai monti d' Israel, udite la parola del Signore Iddio: questo dice lo Signore Iddio a' monti e a' colli: ecco io adducerò sopra voi lo coltello, e dispergerò le vostre alte cose.
4 And I will demolish your altars. And your graven images will be broken apart. And I will throw down your slain before your idols.	4 E disfarò li vostri altari, e le vostre idolatrie si romperanno; li vostri morti gitterò inanzi alli vostri idoli.
5 And I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel before the face of your idols. And I will scatter your bones around your altars.	5 E darò li corpi morti de' figliuoli d' Israel inanzi alle facce delli idoli vostri, e dispergerò le vostre ossa intorno alli vostri altari,
6 In all of your habitations, the cities will be made desolate, and the exalted places will be torn down and scattered. And your altars will be broken and destroyed. And your idols will cease to exist. And your shrines will be crushed. And your works will be wiped away.	6 in tutte le vostre abitazioni. Le cittadi saranno deserte, e l'altezze saranno disfatte; e li vostri altari saranno dissipati e rotti; e li vostri idoli cesseranno, e spezzerannosi le case delli idoli, e le vostre opere saranno spente.
7 And the slain will fall in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	7 E lo morto in mezzo di voi caderà, e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore.
8 And I will leave among you those who will escape the sword among the Gentiles, when I will have dispersed you upon the earth.	8 E lascerò in voi quelli che averanno fuggito lo coltello nelle genti, quando io vi averoe dispersi nelle terre.
9 And your liberated shall remember me among the nations to which they were led away as captives. For I have crushed their heart, which fornicated and withdrew from me, and their eyes, which fornicated after their idols. And they will be displeased with themselves over the evils that they have done by all their abominations.	9 E li vostri liberati si ricordaranno di me nelle genti alle quali sono menati in prigione; però ch' io hoe tritato lo loro cuore, il quale era fornicante e partentesi da me; li loro occhi faceano fornicazione dopo li loro idoli; e a loro medesimi dispiaceranno sopra li mali che feciono in tutte le universe abominazioni sue.
10 And they shall know that I, the Lord, have not spoken in vain, that I would do this evil to them.”	10 E sapranno, ch' io Signore non parlerò indarno per fare a loro questo male.
11 Thus says the Lord God: “Strike with your hand, and stomp with your foot, and say: ‘Alas, to all the abominations of the evils of the house of Israel!’ For they will fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.	11 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: percuoti la tua mano, e percuoti lo tuo piede, e di': guai a tutte l'abominazioni delli rei della casa d'Israel, però che sono stati nutriti per coltello e per fame e per pestilenza.
12 Whoever is far away will die of pestilence. But whoever is near will fall by the sword. And whoever remains and is besieged will die by famine. And I will fulfill my indignation among them.	12 Quello ch' è da lunga, morrà di pestilenza; e quello ch' è presso, morrà di coltello; e chi sarà abbandonato e assediato, morrà di fame; e compierò la mia indignazione in loro.
13 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain will be in the midst of your idols, all around your altars, on every exalted hill, and on the summits of all the mountains, and under every dense tree, and under every leafy oak: the places where they burned sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.	13 E saprete ch' io sono Iddio, quando saranno morti li vostri nel mezzo de' vostri idoli, nel circuito de' vostri altari, in ogni alto colle, e in tutte le sommità de' monti, e sotto ogni legno di bosco, e sotto ogni quercia fronduta, cioè lo luogo dove accesono lo incenso odorifero alli universi loro idoli.
14 And I will extend my hand over them. And I will make the earth desolate and destitute: from the desert of Riblah to all their dwelling places. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”	14 E distenderò la mia mano sopra loro; e la loro terra farò desolata e abbandonata, dal deserto di Deblata, in tutte le loro abitazioni; e sapranno ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
