1 And it happened that, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives beside the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.	1 Εν τω τριακοστω ετει, τω τεταρτω μηνι, τη πεμπτη του μηνος, ενω ημην μεταξυ των αιχμαλωτων παρα τον ποταμον Χεβαρ, ηνοιχθησαν οι ουρανοι και ειδον οραματα του Θεου?
2 On the fifth of the month, the same is the fifth year of the transmigration of king Joachin,	2 τη πεμπτη του μηνος του ετους τουτου, του πεμπτου της αιχμαλωσιας του βασιλεως Ιωαχειν,
3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, a priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, next to the river Chebar. And the hand of the Lord was over him there.	3 εγεινε ρητως λογος Κυριου προς τον Ιεζεκιηλ υιον του Βουζει τον ιερεα, εν τη γη των Χαλδαιων παρα τον ποταμον Χεβαρ, και εκει εσταθη η χειρ του Κυριου επ' αυτον.
4 And I saw, and behold, a whirlwind arrived from the north. And a great cloud, wrapped in fire and brightness, was all around it. And from its midst, that is, from the midst of the fire, there was something with the appearance of amber.	4 Και ειδον και ιδου, ανεμοστροβιλος ηρχετο απο βορρα, νεφος μεγα και πυρ συστρεφομενον? περιξ δε τουτου λαμψις και εκ μεσου αυτου εφαινετο ως οψις ηλεκτρου, εκ μεσου του πυρος.
5 And in its midst, there was the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: the likeness of a man was in them.	5 Και εκ μεσου αυτου εφαινετο τεσσαρων ζωων ομοιωμα. Και η θεα αυτων ητο αυτη? ειχον ομοιωμα ανθρωπου.
6 Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.	6 Και εκαστον ειχε τεσσαρα προσωπα και εκαστον αυτων ειχε τεσσαρας πτερυγας.
7 Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they sparkled with the appearance of glowing brass.	7 Και οι ποδες αυτων ησαν ποδες ορθοι, και το ιχνος του ποδος αυτων ομοιον με ιχνος ποδος μοσχου? και εσπινθηροβολουν ως οψις χαλκου στιλβοντος.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on the four sides. And they had faces with the wings on the four sides.	8 Και ειχον χειρας ανθρωπου υποκατωθεν των πτερυγων αυτων, εις τα τεσσαρα αυτων μερη? και τα τεσσαρα ειχον τα προσωπα αυτων και τας πτερυγας αυτων.
9 And their wings were joined to one another. They did not turn as they went. Instead, each one advanced before his face.	9 Αι πτερυγες αυτων συνειχοντο η μια μετα της αλλης? δεν εστρεφοντο ενω εβαδιζον? κατεναντι του προσωπου αυτων επορευοντο εκαστον.
10 But as for the likeness of their face, there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right of each of the four, then the face of an ox on the left of each of the four, and the face of an eagle above each of the four.	10 Περι δε του ομοιωματος του προσωπου αυτων, τα τεσσαρα ειχον προσωπον ανθρωπου, και προσωπον λεοντος κατα το δεξιον μερος? και τα τεσσαρα ειχον προσωπον βοος κατα το αριστερον? ειχον και τα τεσσαρα προσωπον αετου.
11 Their faces and their wings were extended above: two wings of each one were joined together, and two covered their bodies.	11 Και τα προσωπα αυτων και αι πτερυγες αυτων ησαν διηρημεναι προς τα ανω? δυο εκαστου συνειχοντο η μια μετα της αλλης και δυο εκαλυπτον τα σωματα αυτων.
12 And each one of them advanced before his face. Wherever the impetus of the spirit was to go, there they went. And they did not turn as they advanced.	12 Και επορευοντο εκαστον κατεναντι του προσωπου αυτου? οπου το πνευμα εφερετο, εκει εβαδιζον? ενω εβαδιζον, δεν εστρεφοντο.
13 And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision dashing in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, with lightning going forth from the fire.	13 Περι δε του ομοιωματος των ζωων, η θεα αυτων ητο ως καιομενοι ανθρακες πυρος, ως θεα λαμπαδων? τουτο συνεστρεφετο μεταξυ των ζωων? και ητο το πυρ λαμπρον, και αστραπη εξηρχετο απο του πυρος.
14 And the living creatures went and returned like flashes of lightning.	14 Και τα ζωα ετρεχον και επεστρεφον ως η θεα της αστραπης.
15 And as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared above the earth, next to the living creatures, one wheel having four faces.	15 Και ως ειδον τα ζωα, ιδου, τροχος εις επι την γην, πλησιον των ζωων εις τα τεσσαρα αυτων προσωπα.
16 And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like the appearance of the sea. And each of the four were similar to one another. And their appearance and work was like a wheel in the center of a wheel.	16 Η θεα των τροχων και η εργασια αυτων ησαν ως οψις βηρυλλου? και οι τεσσαρες ειχον το αυτο ομοιωμα? και η θεα αυτων και η εργασια αυτων ησαν ως εαν ητο τροχος εν μεσω τροχου.
17 Going forth, they went by means of their four parts. And they did not turn as they went.	17 Οτε εβαδιζον, εκινουντο κατα τα τεσσαρα αυτων πλαγια? δεν εστρεφοντο ενω εβαδιζον.
18 Also, the size and height and appearance of the wheels was dreadful. And the entire body was full of eyes all around each of the four.	18 Οι δε κυκλοι αυτων ησαν τοσον υψηλοι, ωστε εκαμνον φοβον? και οι κυκλοι αυτων πληρεις οφθαλμων κυκλω των τεσσαρων τουτων.
19 And when the living creatures advanced, the wheels advanced together with them. And when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up at the same time.	19 Και οτε τα ζωα επορευοντο, επορευοντο οι τροχοι πλησιον αυτων? και οτε τα ζωα υψονοντο απο της γης, υψονοντο και οι τροχοι.
20 Wherever the spirit went, as the spirit was going forth to that place, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.	20 Οπου ητο να υπαγη το πνευμα, εκει επορευοντο, εκει το πνευμα ητο να υπαγη? και οι τροχοι υψονοντο απεναντι τουτων, διοτι το πνευμα των ζωων ητο εν τοις τροχοις.
21 When going forth, they went forth, and when standing still, they stood still. And when they were lifted up from the earth, the wheels, too, were lifted up together, so as to follow them. For the spirit of life was in the wheels.	21 Οτε εκεινα επορευοντο, επορευοντο και ουτοι? και οτε εκεινα ισταντο, ισταντο και ουτοι? οτε δε εκεινα υψονοντο απο της γης, και οι τροχοι υψονοντο απεναντι αυτων, διοτι το πνευμα των ζωων ητο εν τοις τροχοις.
22 And above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of a firmament: similar to crystal, but dreadful to behold, and extending over their heads from above.	22 Και το ομοιωμα του στερεωματος του επανωθεν της κεφαλης των ζωων ητο ως οψις φοβερου κρυσταλλου, εξηπλωμενου υπερ τας κεφαλας αυτων.
23 And their wings were straight under the firmament, one toward the other. One of them was covered by two wings on his body, and the other was covered similarly.	23 Υποκατω δε του στερεωματος ησαν εκτεταμεναι αι πτερυγες αυτων, η μια προς την αλλην? δυο ειχεν εκαστον, με τας οποιας εκαλυπτον τα σωματα αυτων.
24 And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the sublime God. When they walked, it was like the sound of a multitude, like the sound of an army. And when they stood still, their wings were let down.	24 Και οτε επορευοντο, ηκουον τον ηχον των πτερυγων αυτων, ως ηχον υδατων πολλων, ως φωνην του Παντοδυναμου, και την φωνην της λαλιας ως φωνην στρατοπεδου? οτε ισταντο, κατεβιβαζον τας πτερυγας αυτων.
25 For when a voice came from above the firmament, which was over their heads, they stood still, and they put down their wings.	25 Και εγινετο φωνη ανωθεν εκ του στερεωματος του υπερ την κεφαλην αυτων? οτε ισταντο, κατεβιβαζον τας πτερυγας αυτων.
26 And above the firmament, which was suspended over their heads, there was the likeness of a throne, with the appearance of the sapphire stone. And over the likeness of the throne, there was a likeness with the appearance of a man above it.	26 Υπερανωθεν δε του στερεωματος του υπερ την κεφαλην αυτων εφαινετο ομοιωμα θρονου, ως θεα λιθου σαπφειρου? και επι του ομοιωματος του θρονου ομοιωμα ως θεα ανθρωπου καθημενου επ' αυτον ανωθεν.
27 And I saw something with the appearance of amber, with the likeness of fire within it and all around it. And from his waist and upward, and from his waist downward, I saw something with the appearance of fire shining all around.	27 Και ειδον ως οψιν ηλεκτρου, ως θεαν πυρος εν αυτω κυκλω, απο της θεας της οσφυος αυτου και επανω? και απο της θεας της οσφυος αυτου και κατω ειδον ως θεαν πυρος, και ειχε λαμψιν κυκλω.
28 There was the appearance of the rainbow, as when it is in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the splendor on every side.	28 Ως η θεα του τοξου, του γινομενον εν τη νεφελη εν ημερα βροχης, ουτως ητο η θεα της λαμψεως κυκλω. Αυτη ητο η θεα του ομοιωματος της δοξης του Κυριου. Και οτε ειδον, επεσον επι προσωπον μου και ηκουσα φωνην λαλουντος.
