CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINKING JAMES BIBLE
A Psalm of David himself. The Lord has reigned: let the peoples be angry. He sits upon the cherubim: let the earth be moved.1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high above all peoples.2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
May they confess to your great name, for it is terrible and holy.3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
And the honor of the king loves judgment. You have prepared guidance. You have accomplished judgment and justice in Jacob.4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore the footstool of his feet, for it is holy.5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel is among those who call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heeded them.6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
He spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies and the precept that he gave them.7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
You heeded them, O Lord our God. You were a forgiving God to them, though taking vengeance on all their inventions.8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore on his holy mountain. For the Lord our God is holy.9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
