1 A Canticle of David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord, all the earth.	1 Venez donc, nous chanterons le Seigneur, nous irons acclamer le rocher qui nous sauve!
2 Sing to the Lord and bless his name. Announce his salvation from day to day.	2 Allons à sa rencontre dans l’action de grâce, avec des chants, des acclamations.
3 Announce his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all peoples.	3 Car le Seigneur est le grand Dieu et le grand roi par-dessus tous les dieux.
4 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is terrible, beyond all gods.	4 Les dessous de la terre sont au creux de sa main et les sommets des monts sont encore à lui.
5 For all the gods of the Gentiles are demons, but the Lord made the heavens.	5 À lui la mer, puisqu’il l’a faite, et puis les terres: sa main les a formées.
6 Confession and beauty are in his sight. Sanctity and magnificence are in his sanctuary.	6 Entrez, à genoux, prosternons-nous, plions le genou devant le Dieu qui nous a faits.
7 Bring to the Lord, you natives of the nations, bring to the Lord glory and honor.	7 C’est lui notre Dieu, et nous sommes son peuple, le troupeau sous sa main. Si vous pouviez aujourd’hui écouter sa voix!
8 Bring to the Lord glory for his name. Lift up sacrifices, and enter into his courts.	8 “Ne vous obstinez pas comme à Mériba, comme au jour de Massa dans le désert,

10 Say among the Gentiles: The Lord has reigned. For he has even corrected the whole world, which will not be shaken. He will judge the peoples with fairness.	10 Je me suis dégoûté d’eux tous pour quarante ans, et j’ai dit: C’est un peuple qui toujours échappe, ils ne connaissent pas mes voies.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult; let the sea and all its fullness be moved.	11 Et j’ai juré dans ma colère: Jamais ils n’atteindront le lieu de mon repos.”
12 The fields and all the things that are in them will be glad. Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice
13 before the face of the Lord: for he arrives. For he arrives to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with fairness and the peoples with his truth.
