Psalms 61

1 Unto the end. For Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.	1 In fine salmo di David per Iditum.
2 Will my soul not be subject to God? For from him is my salvation.	2 Or non sarà soggetta a Dio l'anima mia, quando da lui viene la mia salute?
3 Yes, he himself is my God and my salvation. He is my supporter; I will be moved no more.	3 Per che egli è il mio Iddio, e la mia salute; mio soccorso, e più non mi muoverò.
4 How is it that you rush against a man? Every one of you puts to death, as if you were pulling down a ruined wall, leaning over and falling apart.	4 Insino quando tutti voi perseguitate l'uomo? uccidete, come all' abbassato parete e alla maceria rifiutata?
5 So, truly, they intended to reject my price. I ran in thirst. They blessed with their mouth and cursed with their heart.	5 Nientemeno hanno pensato gittare a drieto il mio prezzo; ma corsi con sete; con sua bocca benedicevano, e col cuore maledicevano.
6 Yet, truly, my soul will be subject to God. For from him is my patience.	6 E però a Dio sii soggetta, o anima mia; però che da lui è la mia pazienza.
7 For he is my God and my Savior. He is my helper; I will not be expelled.	7 Per ch' egli è mio Iddio, e mio Salvatore; aiutatore mio, non mi partird.
8 In God is my salvation and my glory. He is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.	8 In Dio è il mio salvatore e la gloria mia; Iddio del mio aiuto, e la mia speranza è in Dio.
9 All peoples gathered together: trust in him. Pour out your hearts in his sight. God is our helper for eternity.	9 Sperate in lui, tutta la congregazione del popolo; dinanzi a lui spandete li vostri cuori; per che Iddio è nostro aiuto in eterno.
10 So, truly, the sons of men are untrustworthy. The sons of men are liars in the scales, so that, by emptiness, they may deceive among themselves.	10 Però sono vani i figliuoli delli uomini, bugiardi i figliuoli delli uomini nelle statere; acciò che ingannino della propria vanità.
11 Do not trust in iniquity, and do not desire plunder. If riches flow toward you, do not be willing to set your heart on them.	11 Non vogliate sperare nella iniquità; non vogliate desiderare le rapine; se abbondano le ricchezze, non vogliatele tenere al cuore.
12 God has spoken once. I have heard two things: that power belongs to God,	12 Una volta parlò Iddio; ho udito queste due cose, come la potenza è di Dio, e a te, Signore, è la misericordia; imperò [che] renderai a ciascheduno secondo loro opere.
13 and that mercy belongs to you, O Lord. For you will repay each one according to his works.
