1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains; from thence help will come to me.	1 - Cantico de' gradini. Alzo gli occhi verso i monti; donde mi verrà l'aiuto?
2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.	2 Il mio aiuto [vien] dal Signore, che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.
3 May he not allow your foot to be moved, and may he not slumber, who guards you.	3 Non faccia vacillare il tuo piede e non s'addormenti colui che ti protegge!
4 Behold, he who guards Israel will neither sleep, nor slumber.	4 Ecco! non s'addormenterà nè dormiràque' che protegge Israele.
5 The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your protection, above your right hand.	5 Il Signore ti protegge, il Signore è il tuo riparo, alla tua destra.
6 The sun will not burn you by day, nor the moon by night.	6 Di giorno il sole non ti brucerà, nè la luna di notte.
7 The Lord guards you from all evil. May the Lord guard your soul.	7 Il Signore ti protegge da ogni male; protegga l'anima tua il Signore!
8 May the Lord guard your entrance and your exit, from this time forward and even forever.	8 Il Signore protegge il tuo entrare e il tuo uscire, sin da ora e in eterno.
