2 How long will you speak this way, so that the words of your mouth are like a changeable wind?	2 « Fino a quando terrai tali discorsi, e saranno come vento impetuoso le parole della tua bocca?
3 Does God supplant judgment, or does the Almighty subvert that which is just?	3 Può forse Dio pervertire il giudizio, e l'Onnipotente sovvertir la giustizia?
4 And if now your children have sinned against him, and he has dismissed them into the power of their iniquity,	4 Anche se i tuoi figli han peccato contro di lui ed egli li ha dati in balìa della loro iniquità,
5 even so, you should arise early to God, so as to beseech the Almighty.	5 se tu t'affretti per tornare a Dio, e supplichi l'Onnipotente,

10 and they will teach you; they will speak with you and will offer you the eloquence of their hearts.	10 ed essi t'istruiranno, ti parleranno e trarranno dal loro cuore le sentenze.
11 Can the marsh plant live without moisture? Or can sedges grow without water?	11 Può forse il giunco verdeggiare senza umidità, e l'erbe acquatiche fuori dello stagno?
12 When it is still in flower, and has not been pulled up by hand, it withers before all other plants.	12 Mentre sono ancora in fiore, da nessuno colte, seccano prima di tutte le altre erbe.
13 Just so are the ways of all who forget God, and the hope of the hypocrite will perish.	13 Tale è la sorte di tutti quelli che dimenticano Dio, e la speranza dell'ipocrita perirà;
14 His frenzy will not please him, and his faith will be like a spider’s web.	14 non gli piacerà la sua stoltezza, e la sua fiducia sarà come una tela di ragno;
15 He will lean on his house, and it will not stand; he will prop it up, but it will not rise.	15 s'appoggerà alla sua casa; ma essa non reggerà; le metterà dei puntelli; ma essa non starà ritta.
16 He seems to have moisture before the sun arrives; and at sunrise, his sprout shoots forth.	16 Sembra verdeggiante prima che venga il sole, i suoi rami si protenderanno fuori del giardino,
17 His roots will crowd together over a heap of stones, and among the stones he will remain.	17 le sue radici moltiplicheranno sopra un ammasso di pietre, vegeterà tra le pietre;

20 God will not discard the simple, nor will he extend his hand to the spiteful,	20 Dio non rigetta l'intemerato, nè tien mano ai malvagi:
21 even until your mouth is filled with laughter and your lips with rejoicing.	21 Egli riempirà ancora di sorrisi la tua bocca e le tue labbra di giubilo;
22 Those who hate you, will be clothed with confusion, and the tabernacle of the impious will not continue.	22 coloro che ti odiano saran coperti di confusione, e non sussisterà la tenda degli empi ».
