9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dadan.	9 The descendants of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raama were Sheba and Dedan.
10 Then Cush conceived Nimrod, and he began to be powerful upon the earth.	10 Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first to be a conqueror on the earth.
11 Truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,	11 Mesraim became the father of the Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

18 Then Arphaxad conceived Shelah, who also himself conceived Eber.	18 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
19 And to Eber were born two sons. The name of one was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided. And the name of his brother was Joktan.	19 Two sons were born to Eber; the first was named Peleg (for in his time the world was divided), and his brother was Joktan.
20 Then Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,	20 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
21 as well as Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,	21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
22 and then Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, indeed	22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,
23 also Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these are the sons of Joktan.	23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

39 The sons of Lotan: Hori, Heman. Now the sister of Lotan was Timna.	39 The sons of Lotan were Hori and Homam; Timna was the sister of Lotan.
40 The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. The sons of Anah: Dishon.	40 The sons of Shobal were Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon were Aiah and Anah.
41 The sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Esheban, and Ithran, and Cheran.	41 The sons of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon were Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.	42 The sons of Ezer were Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan. The sons of Dishan were Uz and Aran.
43 Now these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king over the sons of Israel: Bela, the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.	43 The kings who reigned in the land of Edom before they had Israelite kings were the following: Bela, son of Beor, the name of whose city was Dinhabah.
44 Then Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah, from Bozrah, reigned in his place.	44 When Bela died, Jobab, son of Zerah, from Bozrah, succeeded him.
45 And when Jobab also had died, Husham, from the land of the Temanites, reigned in his place.	45 When Jobab died, Husham, from the land of the Temanites, succeeded him.
46 Then Husham also passed away, and Hadad, the son of Bedad, reigned in his place. And he struck the Midianites in the land of Moab. The name of his city was Avith.	46 Husham died and Hadad, son of Bedad, succeeded him. He overthrew the Midianites on the Moabite plateau, and the name of his city was Avith.
47 And when Hadad also had died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.	47 Hadad died and Samlah of Masrekah succeeded him.
48 Then Samlah also died, and Shaul from Rehoboth, which is situated beside a river, reigned in his place.	48 Samlah died and Shaul from Rehoboth-han-nahar succeeded him.
49 Shaul also having died, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor, reigned in his place.	49 When Shaul died, Baal-hanan, son of Achbor, succeeded him.
50 Then he too died, and Hadar reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Pau. And his wife was called Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.	50 Baalhanan died and Hadad succeeded him. The name of his city was Pai, and his wife's name was Mehetabel. She was the daughter of Matred, who was the daughter of Mezahab.
51 And Hadar having died, there began to be commanders in Edom in place of kings: commander Thamna, commander Alvah, commander Jetheth,	51 After Hadad died. . . .These were the chiefs of Edom: the chiefs of Timna, Aliah, Jetheth,
52 commander Oholibamah, commander Elah, commander Pinon,	52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
53 commander Kanez, commander Teman, commander Mibzar,	53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
54 commander Magdiel, commander Iram. These are the commanders of Edom.	54 Magdiel, and Iram were the chiefs of Edom.
