Colossians 2

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 I want you to know, then, what a struggle I am having on your behalf and on behalf of those in Laodicea,and on behalf of so many others who have never seen me face to face.	1 Voglio che voi sappiate quale sollecitudine abbia per voi, e per tutti coloro che sono nella vostra provincia di Laodicea, e per tutti quelli che non videro ancora la mia faccia in carne,
2 It is all to bind them together in love and to encourage their resolution until they are rich in the assuranceof their complete understanding and have knowledge of the mystery of God	2 perchè si possano consolare li cuori di coloro, ammaestrati nella carità e in tutte le ricchezze della plenitudine dell' intelletto, in conoscimento delle cose secrete di Dio padre, e del Figliuolo Iesù Cristo,
3 in which al the jewels of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.	3 nel quale (Iesù Cristo) sono tutti li tesauri della sapienza e scienza nascosti.
4 I say this to make sure that no one deceives you with specious arguments.	4 E questo vi dico, perchè niuno non v'inganni con sottilità di parole.
5 I may be absent in body, but in spirit I am there among you, delighted to find how wel -ordered you areand to see how firm your faith in Christ is.	5 Chè se io non son (con voi) presente con il corpo, sì sono con voi con il spirito, godendo e vedendo il vostro ordine, e il firmamento della vostra fede, il qual è in Iesù Cristo.
6 So then, as you received Jesus as Lord and Christ, now live your lives in him,	6 Adunque si come riceveste Iesù Cristo nostro Signore, così andate
7 be rooted in him and built up on him, held firm by the faith you have been taught, and overflowing withthanksgiving.	7 in lui radicati, e sopra firmati nella fede, secondo che voi imprendeste, abbondando in quello con referimento di grazie.
8 Make sure that no one captivates you with the empty lure of a 'philosophy' of the kind that human beingshand on, based on the principles of this world and not on Christ.	8 Guardate che altri non vi inganni per filosofia o per altra fallacia, secondo l' ammaestramento degli uomini, e secondo le lettere di questo mondo, e non secondo Cristo.
9 In him, in bodily form, lives divinity in al its ful ness,	9 Imperò che in lui abita ogni plenitudine di divinità corporalmente.
10 and in him you too find your own fulfilment, in the one who is the head of every sovereignty and rulingforce.	10 E siete ripieni di lui, il quale è capo di ogni principato e di ogni signoria.
11 In him you have been circumcised, with a circumcision performed, not by human hand, but by thecomplete stripping of your natural self. This is circumcision according to Christ.	11 Nel qual voi siete circoncisi, di circoncisione che non è fatta con mano di uomo, nè con tagliamento di carne del corpo, ma con circoncisione di Cristo;
12 You have been buried with him by your baptism; by which, too, you have been raised up with himthrough your belief in the power of God who raised him from the dead.	12 insieme sepolti con lui nel battesimo, per lo quale voi ancora siete resuscitati per fede di operazione di Dio, il quale suscitò [lui] da morte.
13 You were dead, because you were sinners and uncircumcised in body: he has brought you to life withhim, he has forgiven us every one of our sins.	13 E voi, conciosia cosa che foste morti ne' peccati e nella pagania, (Dio padre) risuscitò voi con quello, perdonandovi tutte le vostre offensioni.
14 He has wiped out the record of our debt to the Law, which stood against us; he has destroyed it bynailing it to the cross;	14 Ed estinse la equitazione del decreto, quel ch' era contra di noi, e tolsela del mezzo, lasciando ficcare il suo Figliuolo in sulla croce.
15 and he has stripped the sovereignties and the ruling forces, and paraded them in public, behind him inhis triumphal procession.	15 E spogliando li principati e le potestati (dell' inferno), arditamente menò fuori in palese (quelli ch' erano incatenati), facendo vittoria di coloro in sè medesimo.
16 Then never let anyone criticise you for what you eat or drink, or about observance of annual festivals,New Moons or Sabbaths.	16 Adunque niuno vi giudichi in mangiare o in bere, o in parte del dì di festa, o di calende o di sabbato (secondo la legge vecchia);
17 These are only a shadow of what was coming: the reality is the body of Christ.	17 le quali cose son ombra (e simiglianza) delle cose che debbono venire, cioè il corpo di Cristo.
18 Do not be cheated of your prize by anyone who chooses to grovel to angels and worship them, pinningevery hope on visions received, vainly puffed up by a human way of thinking;	18 Niuno v' inganni con bassamento di senno, e con religione delli angeli, li quali non videro ancora quelli che vi vogliono ingannare; anzi vanno in vano, essendo enfiati del senno carnale,
19 such a person has no connection to the Head, by which the whole body, given al that it needs andheld together by its joints and sinews, grows with the growth given by God.	19 e non tenendo quello capo, per lo qual si mantiene tutto il corpo, e per nodi e per giunture composto e ordinato (così) cresce in crescimento di Dio.
20 If you have really died with Christ to the principles of this world, why do you stil let rules dictate to you,as though you were still living in the world?	20 Adunque se voi siete morti con Cristo dagli elementi di questo mondo, perchè discernete ancora, secondo che voi viveste al mondo (certi cibi secondo la legge)?
21 -'Do not pick up this, do not eat that, do not touch the other,'	21 Non le toccate, e non le saggiate, e non le manicate,
22 and al about things which perish even while they are being used -- according to merely humancommandments and doctrines!	22 quelle cose le quali sono tutte a perdizione. per quello uso, secondo li comandamenti e secondo. la dottrina degli uomini,
23 In these rules you can indeed find what seems to be good sense -- the cultivation of the wil , and ahumility which takes no account of the body; but in fact they have no value against self-indulgence.	23 Li quali pare che abbiano cagione di saviezza con vana religione e con viltade, e vanno temperando il corpo, e non con alcuno onore, ma a saturità (del ventre vanno, e secondo l'amore) della carne.
