1 Corinthians 6

1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?	1 Or dicesse alcuno di voi, abiendo a fare l' uno coll' altro, di stare di sentenza de' malvagi, e non maggiormente volere esser giudicato dalle sante persone?
2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?	2 E non sapete che li santi giudicheranno di questo mondo? E se il mondo dee esser giudicato da voi, non è degna cosa che voi giudicate queste minori cose?
3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.	3 Non sapete voi, che noi giudicheremo li angioli? quanto maggiormente le cose del secolo?
4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!	4 Adunque se voi averete a fare insieme giudicii secolari, le più contendibili [persone] che sieno tra voi (e le più cattive) ponete per vostri giudici.
5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,	5 A vostra vergona dico questo: se non è intra voi alcuno che possa giudicare intra l' uno fratello e l'altro?
6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 Ma l'uno fratello e l'altro sì contende in giudicio (di piato); e questo fanno dinanzi a coloro che non son fedeli? (nè cristiani).
7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?	7 E così per certo il peccato è già al postutio in voi, quando voi piatite (insieme) tra voi. Perchè maggiormente non sostenete in pazienza la ingiuria e l'inganno?
8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.	8 Ma voi per contrario fate le ingiurie e l' inganni; eziandio al vostro fratello (cristiano).
9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,	9 E non sapete voi, che li malvagi non possederanno il regno di Dio? Non (siate ingannati e non) errate; chè nè li fornicatori, nè i servitori degl' idoli, nè gli adulteri,
10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.	10 nè li molli, nè li sodomiti, nè li furi, nè li avari, nè l'imbriachi, nè li maledicenti, nè i rapitori non possederanno il regno di Dio.
11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.	11 E però voi fusti già di quelli cotali; e ora siete lavati e santificati nel nome del Signore nostro Iesù Cristo, e nel Spirito del nostro Dio.
12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.	12 Tutte le cose son a me lecite a fare, ma tutte non si convengono di fare. Tutte le cose son a me lecite; ma io non sarò recato sotto signoria d' alcuno.
13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;	13 Il mangiare al ventre, e il ventre all' esca; ma Dio distruggerà l'uno e l'altra; ma il corpo, non alla fornicazione, ma al Signore, e il Signore al corpo.
14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.	14 E Dio, che resuscitò il Signore, resusciterà noi della sua virtù.
15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!	15 E non sapete che li vostri corpi son membra di Cristo? Adunque torrai il membro di Cristo, farai membro di meretrice? Non piaccia a Dio.
16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.	16 E non sapete che colui che si accosta alla meretrice, sì diventa uno corpo con lei? Chè dice la Scrittura, che saranno due in una carne.
17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.	17 E quelli che s'accosta a Dio, sì è uno spirito.
18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.	18 Fuggite la fornicazione; chè ogni peccato che farà l'uomo, sì è fuori del corpo; ma quelli che fa fornicazione, sì pecca nel suo corpo.
19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?	19 E non sapete che le membra vostre son templo del Spirito Santo, il quale è in voi, che l'avete da Dio, e voi non siete vostri?
20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.	20 Imperò che sete comprati di grande prezzo. Adunque glorificate e portate Dio nel vostro corpo.
