Deuteronomy 11

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'You must love Yahweh your God and always keep his observances, his laws, his customs, hiscommandments.	1 Szeresd tehát az Urat, a te Istenedet, s tartsd meg parancsait, szertartásait, rendeleteit és utasításait minden időben.
2 You are the ones who have had the experience, not your children. They have not had the experience,they have not witnessed the lessons of Yahweh your God, his greatness, his mighty hand and his outstretchedarm,	2 Vegyétek ma fontolóra mindazt, amiről fiaitok, akik az Úrnak, a ti Isteneteknek fenyítését nem látták, nem tudnak: az ő nagy tetteit, erős kezét és kinyújtott karját,
3 the signs and the deeds which he performed in the heart of Egypt, against Pharaoh king of Egypt andhis entire country,	3 jeleit és tetteit, amelyeket Egyiptomban művelt a fáraón, a királyon és egész földjén,
4 what he did to the armies of Egypt, to their horses and their chariots, by overwhelming them with thewaters of the Sea of Reeds when they were pursuing you, and leaving no trace of them to this day;	4 meg az egyiptomiak egész hadseregén, lovain és harciszekerein, hogy miképpen borították el őket a Vörös-tenger vizei, amikor üldöztek titeket, s mint törölte el őket az Úr mind a mai napig;
5 what he did for you in the desert, until you arrived here;	5 meg amit veletek tett a pusztában, míg erre a helyre nem jutottatok;
6 what he did to Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab the Reubenite, when, with al Israel standinground, the earth opened its mouth and swal owed them, with their families, their tents and al their supporters.	6 és amit Dátánnal s Abironnal, Eliábnak, Rúben fiának fiaival cselekedett, amikor a föld felnyitotta száját és elnyelte őket háznépükkel, sátraikkal s minden vagyonukkal együtt, amijük csak volt, Izraelben.
7 Al these great deeds of Yahweh you have seen with your own eyes.	7 A ti szemetek látta az Úr minden nagy tettét, amelyet művelt,
8 'You must keep al the commandments which I enjoin on you today, so that you may have the strengthto conquer the country into which you are about to cross, to take possession of it,	8 tartsátok meg tehát minden parancsát, amelyet ma meghagyok nektek, hogy elérhessétek, s elfoglalhassátok azt a földet, amelyre átkeltek
9 and so that you may live long in the country which Yahweh promised on oath to bestow on yourancestors and their descendants, a country flowing with milk and honey.	9 és hosszú ideig élhessetek azon a tejjel s mézzel folyó földön, amelyet esküvel ígért az Úr atyáitoknak s utódaiknak.
10 'For the country which you are about to enter and make your own is not like the country of Egyptfrom which you have come, where, having done your sowing, you had to water the seed by foot, as though in avegetable garden.	10 Az a föld ugyanis, ahová mégy, hogy elfoglald, nem olyan, mint Egyiptom földje, amelyről kijöttél, hogy az elvetett magra öntözővizet vezetnek, miként a zöldségeskertre,
11 No, the country which you are about to enter and make your own, is a country of hills and val eyswatered by the rain of heaven.	11 hanem hegyes-völgyes és az égből várja az esőt.
12 Yahweh your God looks after this country, the eyes of Yahweh your God are always on it, from thebeginning of the year to the end.	12 Azt az Úr, a te Istened gondozza mindenkor: rajta van a szeme az esztendő kezdetétől annak végéig.
13 Depend on it: if you faithfully obey the commandments I enjoin on you today, loving Yahweh yourGod and serving him with al your heart and al your soul,	13 Ha tehát engedelmeskedtek parancsaimnak, amelyeket ma meghagyok nektek, hogy szeressétek az Urat, a ti Isteneteket és szolgáljatok neki teljes szívetekkel s teljes lelketekkel,
14 I shal give your country rain at the right time, rain in autumn, rain in spring, so that you can harvestyour wheat, your new wine and your oil.	14 akkor megadja földeteknek a korai s a késői esőt, s betakarítotok gabonát, bort és olajat,
15 I shal provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat to your heart's content.	15 a mezőről pedig szénát, hogy elláthassátok a jószágot és ti magatok is ehessetek és jóllakjatok.
16 Beware of letting your heart be seduced: if you go astray, serve other gods and bow down to them,	16 Vigyázzatok, hogy meg ne tévedjen valahogy szívetek, s el ne pártoljatok az Úrtól és más isteneket ne szolgáljatok, s ne imádjatok,
17 Yahweh's anger wil be kindled against you, he wil shut the heavens, there wil be no more rain, thesoil wil not yield its produce and, in the fine country given you by Yahweh, you wil quickly perish.	17 s hogy meg ne haragudjék az Úr, s be ne zárja az eget, s eső ne essék, s a föld ne adja meg termését, s hamarosan el ne vesszetek arról az igen jó földről, amelyet az Úr majd ad nektek.
18 'Let these words of mine remain in your heart and in your soul; fasten them on your hand as a signand on your forehead as a headband.	18 Véssétek e szavaimat szívetekbe-lelketekbe, s kössétek jel gyanánt a kezetekre, s tegyétek a szemetek közé.
19 Teach them to your children, and keep on tel ing them, when you are sitting at home, when you areout and about, when you are lying down and when you are standing up.	19 Tanítsátok meg ezeket fiaitoknak, hogy beszélj róluk, amikor a házadban üldögélsz, amikor úton jársz, ha lefekszel és ha felkelsz.
20 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,	20 Írd rá őket házad ajtófélfáira s kapuira,
21 so that you and your children may live long in the country which Yahweh swore to your ancestorsthat he would give them for as long as there is a sky above the earth.	21 hogy addig sokasodjanak napjaid és fiaid napjai azon a földön, amely felől megesküdött az Úr a te atyáidnak, hogy nekik adja, amíg csak ég borul a földre.
22 'For if you faithful y keep and observe al these commandments that I enjoin on you today, lovingYahweh your God, following all his ways and holding fast to him,	22 Ha ugyanis megtartjátok és teljesítitek azokat a parancsokat, amelyeket meghagyok nektek, hogy szeressétek az Urat, a ti Isteneteket, s mindenben az ő útjain járjatok, s hozzá ragaszkodjatok:
23 Yahweh wil dispossess al these nations before you, and you wil dispossess nations greater andmore powerful than yourselves.	23 akkor elveszíti az Úr mindezeket a nemzeteket a színetek elől, s meghódítjátok őket, bár nagyobbak s erősebbek nálatok.
24 Wherever the sole of your foot treads wil be yours; your territory will run from the desert al the wayto the Lebanon; and from the River, from the River Euphrates, as far as the Western Sea, wil be your territory.	24 Minden hely, amelyre lábatok lép, a tiétek lesz: a pusztától a Libanonig, a nagy folyótól, az Eufrátesztől a nyugati tengerig terjed majd határotok.
25 No one wil be able to resist you; Yahweh your God will make you feared and dreaded throughout theterritory you tread, as he has promised you.	25 Senki sem tud majd ellenállni nektek: tőletek való rettegést és félelmet bocsát az Úr, a ti Istenetek arra az egész földre, amelyre léptek, amint mondta nektek.
26 'Today, look, I am offering you a blessing and a curse:	26 Ím áldást és átkot terjesztek ma elétek:
27 a blessing, if you obey the commandments of Yahweh your God which I enjoin on you today;	27 áldást, ha engedelmeskedtek az Úr, a ti Istenetek parancsainak, amelyeket ma meghagyok nektek,
28 a curse, if you disobey the commandments of Yahweh your God and leave the way which today Ihave marked out for you, by following other gods hitherto unknown to you.	28 s átkot, ha nem engedelmeskedtek az Úr, a ti Istenetek parancsainak, hanem letértek arról az útról, amelyet most mutatok nektek, s más istenek után jártok, akiket nem ismertek.
29 And when Yahweh your God has brought you into the country which you are about to enter andmake your own, you must set the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal.	29 Ha tehát majd bevisz téged az Úr, a te Istened arra a földre, amelyre lakni mégy, mondd el az áldást a Garizim hegyén, az átkot az Ebál hegyén;
30 (These mountains, as everyone knows, are on the other side of the Jordan on the westward road, inthe territory of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal, near the Oak of Moreh.)	30 ott vannak ezek a Jordánon túl, a napnyugat felé tartó út mögött, a Mezőségen lakó kánaániak földjén, azzal a Gilgállal szemben, amely a messze benyúló völgy mellett van.
31 For you are about to cross the Jordan, to enter and take possession of the country given you byYahweh your God. You wil possess it, you wil live in it,	31 Ti ugyanis átkeltek a Jordánon, hogy elfoglaljátok azt a földet, amelyet az Úr, a ti Istenetek nektek ad, hogy tiétek legyen és birtokoljátok.
32 and you must keep and observe al the laws and customs promulgated by me to you today.'	32 Vigyázzatok tehát, hogy teljesítsétek e szertartásokat és rendeleteket, amelyeket ma elétek terjesztek.
