And he did so, and walked about, naked and barefoot.	2 in quel tempo il Signore parlò per mezzo d'Isaia, figlio di Amos, dicendo: «Va', svestiti del sacco che hai sui fianchi, e cavati le calzature dai piedi». Ed egli così fece, andando scamiciato e scalzo.
3 Yahweh then said, 'As my servant Isaiah has been walking about naked and barefoot for the last threeyears as a sign and portent for Egypt and Cush,	3 E il Signore disse: «Come il mio servo Isaia è andato nudo e scalzo per tre anni, segno fatidico e prodigioso sopra l'Egitto e l'Etiopia,
4 so the king of Assyria wil lead the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, young and old, naked andbarefoot, their buttocks bared, to the shame of Egypt.	4 così, una turba di schiavi di Egitto, e di esuli d'Etiopia, di giovani e di vecchi, condurrà il re degli Assiri, nuda e scalza colle natiche scoperte, in onta all'Egitto.
5 Then they wil be afraid and ashamed of Cush their hope and Egypt their pride,	5 E resteranno sbigottiti e confusi quelli che avranno posto la loro speranza nell'Etiopia e la loro gloria nell'Egitto.
6 and the inhabitants of this coast will say on that day, "Look what has happened to our hope, to those towhom we fled for help, to escape from the king of Assyria. How are we going to escape?" '	6 E gli abitanti di questi lidi diranno in quel giorno: - Questa che era la nostra speranza, alla quale avevamo ricorso per aiuto, affinchè ci liberasse dalla presenza del re degli Assiri, eccola, e come potremmo scampare noi? -».
