1 [Song of Ascents] When Yahweh brought back Zion's captives we lived in a dream;	1 Cantico de' gradi di Salomone.Se il Signore non arà edificata la casa, inIvano si affaticarono coloro che la edificano. Se il Signore non arà guardata la città, invano vigilano coloro che la guardano.
2 then our mouths fil ed with laughter, and our lips with song. Then the nations kept saying, 'What greatdeeds Yahweh has done for them!'	2 A voi è vano levarvi inanzi la luce; levatevi dopo che arete seduto, voi che mangiate il pane del dolore. Quando avrà dato alli suoi diletti il sonno;
3 Yes, Yahweh did great deeds for us, and we were overjoyed.	3 ecco la eredità del Signore, il frutto del ventre e li figliuoli della mercede.
4 Bring back, Yahweh, our people from captivity like torrents in the Negeb!	4 Come sono le sagitte nella mano del potente, così sono figliuoli de' profeti apostoli.
5 Those who sow in tears sing as they reap.	5 Beato l'uomo che di queste cose ha empiuto il suo desiderio; non si confunderà quando parlarà sulla porta alli nemici suoi.
6 He went off, went off weeping, carrying the seed. He comes back, comes back singing, bringing inhis sheaves.
