1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
2 Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre: Thus says the Lord GOD: Because you are haughty of heart, you say, "A god am I! I occupy a godly throne in the heart of the sea!"-- And yet you are a man, and not a god, however you may think yourself like a god.	2 «Figlio dell'uomo, dirai al principe di Tiro: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Perchè il tuo cuore si è alto levato e hai detto: Io sono un Dio, e sul trono di Dio sto assiso in grembo al mare, mentre sei un uomo e non un Dio, e fai il tuo cuore pari al cuore di un nume.
3 Oh yes, you are wiser than Daniel, there is no secret that is beyond you.	3 Ecco, ti fai più sapiente di Daniele, nessun arcano è a te nascosto;
4 By your wisdom and your intelligence you have made riches for yourself; You have put gold and silver into your treasuries.	4 colla sapienza e colla prudenza, ti sei formata una potente fortuna e hai procacciato oro e argento pei tuoi tesori.
5 By your great wisdom applied to your trading you have heaped up your riches; your heart has grown haughty from your riches--	5 Colla tua grande sapienza e col tuo commercio, hai accresciuta la tua potenza, e il tuo cuore nella tua dovizia si innalzò -».
6 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have thought yourself to have the mind of a god,	6 Per questo, dice il Signore Dio: «Perchè il tuo cuore si è innalzato come fosse il cuore di un Dio,
7 Therefore I will bring against you foreigners, the most barbarous of nations. They shall draw their swords against your beauteous wisdom, they shall run them through your splendid apparel.	7 ecco che io condurrò sopra di te gli stranieri, robustissimi sopra le genti, e snuderanno le loro spade sulla beltà della tua sapienza e daranno il guasto al tuo splendore.
8 They shall thrust you down to the pit, there to die a bloodied corpse, in the heart of the sea.	8 Ti rovineranno e ti rovesceranno, e morrai di morte violenta in seno al mare.
9 Will you then say, "I am a god!" when you face your murderers? No, you are a man, not a god, handed over to those who will slay you.	9 Oserai ancora dire e ripetere: - Io sono un Dio, - in presenza dei tuoi carnefici, mentre sei un uomo e non un Dio, in mano di quelli che stanno per ucciderti?
10 You shall die the death of the uncircumcised at the hands of foreigners, for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD.	10 Tu morrai della morte degli incirconcisi per la mano degli stranieri; perchè io ho parlato», dice il Signore Dio.
11 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	11 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
12 Son of man, utter a lament over the king of Tyre, saying to him: Thus says the Lord GOD: You were stamped with the seal of perfection, of complete wisdom and perfect beauty.	12 «Figlio dell'uomo, intona una lamentazione sopra il re di Tiro e gli dirai: - Così parla il Signore Dio: Tu eri sigillo di perfezione, pieno di sapienza, al colmo dello splendore:
13 In Eden, the garden of God, you were, and every precious stone was your covering (carnelian, topaz, and beryl, chrysolite, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, garnet, and emerald); Of gold your pendants and jewels were made, on the day you were created.	13 eri nelle delizie del paradiso di Dio, ogni sorta di pietre preziose ingemmava la veste che ti copriva, il sardio, il topazio, lo iaspide, il crisolito, l'onice, il berillo, lo zaffiro, il carbonchio, lo smeraldo. L'oro fu apprestato in servizio della tua bellezza e la filigrana era preparata pel giorno in cui saresti stato creato.
14 With the Cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God, walking among the fiery stones.	14 Tu eri un cherubino che stende l'ali protettrici, io ti aveva posto sul monte santo di Dio e tu incedevi in mezzo a pietre infocate.
15 Blameless you were in your conduct from the day you were created, Until evil was found in you,	15 Perfetto nei tuoi procedimenti dal giorno in cui fosti creato fino a tanto che l'iniquità fu ritrovata in te.
16 the result of your far-flung trade; violence was your business, and you sinned. Then I banned you from the mountain of God; the Cherub drove you from among the fiery stones.	16 Nell'immensità del tuo traffico il tuo interno si riempì d'iniquità e hai peccato, e io ti scacciai dal monte di Dio e ti mandai in perdizione, o cherubino protettore, di mezzo le pietre fiammeggianti.
17 You became haughty of heart because of your beauty; for the sake of splendor you debased your wisdom. I cast you to the earth, so great was your guilt; I made you a spectacle in the sight of kings.	17 Il tuo cuore s'inalzò nella tua bellezza e nella tua bellezza hai perduto la tua sapienza; io t'ho gettato a terra, nel cospetto dei re t'ho esposto affinchè ti contemplassero.
18 Because of your guilt, your sinful trade, I have profaned your sanctuaries, And I have brought out fire from your midst which will devour you. I have reduced you to dust on the earth in the sight of all who should see you.	18 Per l'eccesso delle tue iniquità, per la malvagità del tuo traffico hai profanato il tuo sacrario; io farò quindi uscire di mezzo a te un fuoco che ti consumerà e ti ridurrò in cenere sulla terra, sotto gli occhi di tutti quelli che ti contempleranno.
19 Among the peoples, all who knew you stand aghast at you; You have become a horror, you shall be no more.	19 Quanti fra le nazioni ti avranno veduto resteranno attoniti per la tua sorte; finirai nel nulla e più non sarai in eterno -».
20 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	20 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
21 Son of man, look toward Sidon, and prophesy against it:	21 «Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la faccia contro Sidone e profetizza su di essa; e dirai:
22 Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Sidon; I will be glorified in your midst. Then they shall know that I am the LORD, when I inflict punishments upon it and use it to manifest my holiness.	22 - Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Sidone, e sarò glorificato in mezzo a te e conosceranno che io sono il Signore quando avrò eseguito i miei giudizi e provata la mia santità in essa.
23 Into it I will send pestilence, and blood shall flow in its streets. Within it shall fall those slain by the sword that comes against it from every side. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	23 E farò penetrare in essa la peste, e scorrere per le sue piazze il sangue, e stramazzeranno le vittime in mezzo ad essa uccise dalla spada in giro; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore.
24 Sidon shall no longer be a tearing thorn for the house of Israel, a brier that scratches them more than all the others about them who despise them; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	24 E non vi sarà più per quei della casa d'Israele inciampo disgustoso, ne spina apportatrice di dolore di coloro che tutt'intorno li avversano; e conosceranno ch'io sono il Signore -».
25 Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, then I will manifest my holiness through them in the sight of the nations. Then they shall live on their land which I gave to my servant Jacob;	25 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Quando avrò raccolto quei della casa d'Israele dai popoli fra i quali erano dispersi, sarò, nel cospetto delle genti, santificato in essi: e riabiteranno la loro terra che avevo data al mio servo Giacobbe.
26 they shall live on it in security, building houses and planting vineyards. They shall dwell secure while I inflict punishments on all their neighbors who despised them; thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God.	26 E vi abiteranno in tutta sicurezza e riedificheranno le case e ripianteranno le vigne e dimoreranno rassicurati, quando avrò dato esecuzione ai giudizi contro tutti coloro che li avversano intorno; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore Dio loro».
