Leviticus 27

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone fulfills a vow of offering one or more persons to the LORD, who are to be ransomed at a fixed sum of money,	2 Parle aux Israélites, tu leur diras: Si quelqu'un veut s'acquitter envers Yahvé du voeu qu'il a faitde la valeur d'une personne,
3 for persons between the ages of twenty and sixty, the fixed sum, in sanctuary shekels, shall be fifty silver shekels for a man,	3 un homme entre vingt et 60 ans sera estimé à 50 sicles d'argent -- sicle du sanctuaire --
4 and thirty shekels for a woman;	4 pour une femme l'estimation sera de 30 sicles;
5 for persons between the ages of five and twenty, the fixed sum shall be twenty shekels for a youth, and ten for a maiden;	5 entre cinq et vingt ans, le garçon sera estimé à vingt sicles et la fille à dix sicles;
6 for persons between the ages of one month and five years, the fixed sum shall be five silver shekels for a boy, and three for a girl;	6 entre un mois et cinq ans, le garçon sera estimé à cinq sicles d'argent et la fille à trois siclesd'argent;
7 for persons of sixty or more, the fixed sum shall be fifteen shekels for a man, and ten for a woman.	7 à 60 ans et au-dessus, l'homme sera estimé à quinze sicles et la femme à dix sicles.
8 However, if the one who took the vow is too poor to meet the fixed sum, the person must be set before the priest, who shall determine the sum for his ransom in keeping with the means of the one who made the vow.	8 Si celui qui a voué est incapable de faire face à cette estimation, il présentera la personne auprêtre. Celui-ci fera l'estimation, mais il la fera selon les ressources de celui qui a voué.
9 "If the offering vowed to the LORD is an animal that may be sacrificed, every such animal, when vowed to the LORD, becomes sacred.	9 S'il s'agit d'animaux dont on peut faire offrande à Yahvé, tout animal que l'on donne à Yahvésera chose consacrée.
10 The offerer shall not present a substitute for it by exchanging either a better for a worse one or a worse for a better one. If he attempts to offer one animal in place of another, both the original and its substitute shall be treated as sacred.	10 On ne pourra ni le changer ni le remplacer, mettre un bon pour un mauvais ou un mauvais pourun bon. Si l'on substitue un animal à un autre, l'un et l'autre seront choses consacrées.
11 If the animal vowed to the LORD is unclean and therefore unfit for sacrifice, it must be set before the priest,	11 S'il s'agit d'un animal impur dont on ne peut faire offrande à Yahvé, quel qu'il soit, on leprésentera au prêtre
12 who shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad qualities, and the value set by the priest shall stand.	12 et celui-ci en fera l'estimation, le jugeant bon ou mauvais; on s'en tiendra à son estimation,
13 If the offerer wishes to redeem the animal, he shall pay one fifth more than this valuation.	13 mais si l'on veut le racheter, on majorera cette estimation d'un cinquième.
14 "When someone dedicates his house as sacred to the LORD, the priest shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad points, and the value set by the priest shall stand.	14 Si un homme consacre sa maison à Yahvé, le prêtre en fera l'estimation, la jugeant de grande oude faible valeur. On s'en tiendra à l'estimation du prêtre,
15 If the one who dedicated his house wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and then it will again be his.	15 mais si cet homme qui a voué la maison la veut racheter, il majorera cette estimation d'uncinquième et elle lui reviendra.
16 "If the object which someone dedicates to the LORD is a piece of his hereditary land, its valuation shall be made according to the amount of seed required to sow it, the acreage sown with a homer of barley seed being valued at fifty silver shekels.	16 Si un homme consacre à Yahvé l'un des champs de son patrimoine, l'estimation en sera faite enfonction de son produit à raison de 50 sicles d'argent pour un muid d'orge.
17 If the dedication of a field is made at the beginning of a jubilee period, the full valuation shall hold;	17 S'il consacre le champ pendant l'année jubilaire, on s'en tiendra à cette estimation;
18 but if it is some time after this, the priest shall estimate its money value according to the number of years left until the next jubilee year, with a corresponding rebate on the valuation.	18 mais s'il le consacre après le jubilé, le prêtre en calculera le prix en fonction des années restant àcourir jusqu'à celle du jubilé et une déduction sera faite sur l'estimation.
19 If the one who dedicated his field wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and so reclaim it.	19 S'il veut racheter le champ, il majorera l'estimation d'un cinquième et le champ lui reviendra.
20 If, instead of redeeming such a field, he sells it to someone else, it may no longer be redeemed;	20 S'il ne le rachète pas mais le vend à un autre, le droit de rachat s'éteint;
21 but at the jubilee it shall be released as sacred to the LORD; like a field that is doomed, it shall become priestly property.	21 quand à l'année jubilaire l'acquéreur devra l'abandonner, ce sera chose consacrée à Yahvé, telun champ dévoué par anathème: la propriété de cet homme passe au prêtre.
22 "If the field that some man dedicates to the LORD is one he had purchased and not a part of his hereditary property,	22 S'il consacre à Yahvé un champ qu'il a acquis mais qui ne fait pas partie de son patrimoine,
23 the priest shall compute its value in proportion to the number of years until the next jubilee, and on the same day the price thus established shall be given as sacred to the LORD;	23 le prêtre en calculera le prix d'estimation en fonction du temps à courir jusqu'à l'année jubilaire,et l'homme en versera le montant ce jour même à titre de chose consacrée à Yahvé.
24 at the jubilee, however, the field shall revert to the hereditary owner of this land from whom it had been purchased.	24 Lors de l'année jubilaire le champ reviendra au vendeur, à celui dont c'est la propriété dans lepays.
25 "Every valuation shall be made according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel. There are twenty gerahs to the shekel.	25 Toute estimation sera faite en sicles du sanctuaire, vingt géras valant un sicle.
26 "Note that a first-born animal, which as such already belongs to the LORD, may not be dedicated by vow to him. If it is an ox or a sheep, it shall be ceded to the LORD;	26 Nul, toutefois, ne pourra de son bétail consacrer un premier-né qui de droit appartient à Yahvé;gros ou petit bétail, il appartient à Yahvé.
27 but if it is an unclean animal, it may be redeemed by paying one fifth more than its fixed value. If it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at its fixed value.	27 Mais si c'est un animal impur on pourra le racheter au prix d'une estimation majorée d'uncinquième; s'il n'est pas racheté, l'animal sera vendu au prix de l'estimation.
28 "Note, also, that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the LORD, whether it is a human being or an animal or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the LORD.	28 Cependant rien de ce qu'un homme dévoue par anathème à Yahvé ne peut être vendu ouracheté, rien de ce qu'il peut posséder en hommes, bêtes ou champs patrimoniaux. Tout anathème est chose trèssainte qui appartient à Yahvé.
29 All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death.	29 Aucun être humain dévoué par anathème ne pourra être racheté, il sera mis à mort.
30 "All tithes of the land, whether in grain from the fields or in fruit from the trees, belong to the LORD, as sacred to him.	30 Toute dîme du pays prélevée sur les produits de la terre ou sur les fruits des arbres appartient àYahvé; c'est une chose consacrée à Yahvé.
31 If someone wishes to buy back any of his tithes, he shall pay one fifth more than their value.	31 Si un homme veut racheter une partie de sa dîme, il en majorera la valeur d'un cinquième.
32 The tithes of the herd and the flock shall be determined by ceding to the LORD as sacred every tenth animal as they are counted by the herdsman's rod.	32 En toute dîme de gros et de petit bétail, sera chose consacrée à Yahvé le dixième de tout ce quipasse sous la houlette.
33 It shall not matter whether good ones or bad ones are thus chosen, and no exchange may be made. If any exchange is attempted, both the original animal and its substitute shall be treated as sacred, without the right of being bought back."	33 On ne triera pas le bon et le mauvais, on ne fera pas de substitution: si l'on en fait une, l'animalet son remplaçant seront choses consacrées sans possibilité de rachat.
34 These are the commandments which the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.	34 Tels sont les ordres que Yahvé donna à Moïse sur le mont Sinaï à l'intention des Israélites.
