1 A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge through all generations.	1 Oración. De Moisés, hombre de Dios. Señor, tú has sido para nosotros un refugio de edad en edad.
2 Before the mountains were born, the earth and the world brought forth, from eternity to eternity you are God.	2 Antes que los montes fuesen engendrados, antes que naciesen tierra y orbe, desde siempre hasta siempre tú eres Dios.
3 But humans you return to dust, saying, "Return, you mortals!"	3 Tú al polvo reduces a los hombres, diciendo: «¡Tornad, hijos de Adán!»
4 A thousand years in your eyes are merely a yesterday,	4 Porque mil años a tus ojos son como el ayer, que ya pasó, como una vigilia de la noche.
5 you have brought them to their end; They disappear like sleep at dawn; they are like grass that dies.	5 Tú los sumerges en un sueño, a la mañana serán como hierba que brota;
6 It sprouts green in the morning; by evening it is dry and withered.	6 por la mañana brota y florece, por la tarde se amustia y se seca.
7 Truly we are consumed by your anger, filled with terror by your wrath.	7 Pues por tu cólera somos consumidos, por tu furor anonadados.
8 You have kept our faults before you, our hidden sins exposed to your sight.	8 Has puesto nuestras culpas ante ti, a la luz de tu faz nuestras faltas secretas.
9 Our life ebbs away under your wrath; our years end like a sigh.	9 Bajo tu enojo declinan todos nuestros días, como un suspiro consumimos nuestros años.
10 Seventy is the sum of our years, or eighty, if we are strong; Most of them are sorrow and toil; they pass quickly, we are all but gone.	10 Los años de nuestra vida son unos setenta, u ochenta, si hay vigor; mas son la mayor parte trabajo y vanidad, pues pasan presto y nosotros nos volamos.
11 Who comprehends your terrible anger? Your wrath matches the fear it inspires.	11 ¿Quién conoce la fuerza de tu cólera, y, temiéndote, tu indignación?
12 Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.	12 ¡Enseñanos a contar nuestros días, para que entre la sabiduría en nuestro corazón!
13 Relent, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!	13 ¡Vuelve, Yahveh! ¿Hasta cuándo? Ten piedad de tus siervos.
14 Fill us at daybreak with your love, that all our days we may sing for joy.	14 Sácianos de tu amor a la mañana, que exultemos y cantemos toda nuestra vida.
15 Make us glad as many days as you humbled us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.	15 Devuélvenos en gozo los días que nos humillaste, los años en que desdicha conocimos.
16 Show your deeds to your servants, your glory to their children.	16 ¡Que se vea tu obra con tus siervos, y tu esplendor sobre sus hijos!
17 May the favor of the Lord our God be ours. Prosper the work of our hands! Prosper the work of our hands!	17 ¡La dulzura del Señor sea con nosotros! ¡Confirma tú la acción de nuestras manos!
