2 Rescue me from my enemies, my God; lift me out of reach of my foes.	2 ¡Líbrame de mis enemigos, oh Dios mío, de mis agresores protégeme,
3 Deliver me from evildoers; from the bloodthirsty save me.	3 líbrame de los agentes de mal, de los hombres sanguinarios sálvame!
4 They have set an ambush for my life; the powerful conspire against me. For no offense or misdeed of mine, LORD,	4 Mira que acechan a mi alma, poderosos se conjuran contra mí; sin rebeldía ni pecado en mí, Yahveh,
5 for no fault they hurry to take up arms. Come near and see my plight!	5 sin culpa alguna, corren y se aprestan. Despiértate, ven a mi encuentro y mira,
6 You, LORD of hosts, are the God of Israel! Awake! Punish all the nations. Have no mercy on these worthless traitors. Selah	6 tú, Yahveh, Dios Sebaot, Dios de Israel, álzate a visitar a todos los gentiles, no te apiades de ninguno de esos traidores pérfidos. Pausa.
7 Each evening they return, growling like dogs, prowling the city.	7 Regresan a la tarde, aúllan como perros, rondan por la ciudad.
8 Their mouths pour out insult; sharp words are on their lips. They say: "Who is there to hear?"	8 Míralos desbarrar a boca llena, espadas en sus labios: «¿Hay alguno que oiga?»
9 You, LORD, laugh at them; you deride all the nations.	9 Mas tú, Yahveh, te ríes de ellos, tú te mofas de todos los gentiles.
10 My strength, for you I watch; you, God, are my fortress,	10 Oh fuerza mía, hacia ti miro. Pues es Dios mi ciudadela,
11 my loving God.	11 el Dios de mi amor viene a mi encuentro. Dios me hará desafiar a los que me asechan.
12 May God go before me, and show me my fallen foes. Slay them, God, lest they deceive my people. Shake them by your power; Lord, our shield, bring them down.	12 ¡Oh, no los mates, no se olvide mi pueblo, dispérsalos con tu poder, humíllalos, oh Señor, nuestro escudo!
13 For the sinful words of their mouths and lips let them be caught in their pride. For the lies they have told under oath	13 Pecado es en su boca la palabra de sus labios; ¡queden, pues, presos en su orgullo, por la blasfemia, por la mentira que vocean!
14 destroy them in anger, destroy till they are no more. Then people will know God rules over Jacob, yes, even to the ends of the earth. Selah	14 ¡Suprime con furor, suprímelos, no existan más! Y se sepa que Dios domina en Jacob, hasta los confines de la tierra. Pausa.
15 Each evening they return, growling like dogs, prowling the city.	15 Regresan a la tarde, aúllan como perros, rondan por la ciudad;
16 They roam about as scavengers; if they are not filled, they howl.	16 vedlos buscando qué comer, hasta que no están hartos van gruñendo.
17 But I shall sing of your strength, extol your love at dawn, For you are my fortress, my refuge in time of trouble.	17 Yo, en cambio, cantaré tu fuerza, aclamaré tu amor a la mañana; pues tú has sido para mí una ciudadela, un refugio en el día de mi angustia.
18 My strength, your praise I will sing; you, God, are my fortress, my loving God.	18 Oh fuerza mía, para ti salmodiaré, pues es Dios mi ciudadela, el Dios de mi amor.
