1 Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, a hymn in the assembly of the faithful.	1 Alleluia. Cantate al Signore un canto nuovo: risuoni la sua lode nell'assemblea dei fedeli.
2 Let Israel be glad in their maker, the people of Zion rejoice in their king.	2 Gioisca Israele nel suo Creatore, esultino nel loro Re i figli di Sion.
3 Let them praise his name in festive dance, make music with tambourine and lyre.	3 Lodino il suo nome con la danza, a lui con timpano e cetra inneggino.
4 For the LORD takes delight in his people, honors the poor with victory.	4 Poiché il Signore si compiace del suo popolo, incorona gli umili di vittoria.
5 Let the faithful rejoice in their glory, cry out for joy at their banquet,	5 Esultino i fedeli nella gloria, facciano festa secondo le loro famiglie:
6 With the praise of God in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hands,	6 le lodi divine sulla loro bocca e la spada a doppio taglio nella loro mano,
7 To bring retribution on the nations, punishment on the peoples,	7 per far vendetta fra le nazioni, punizione fra i popoli;
8 To bind their kings with chains, shackle their nobles with irons,	8 stringere in catene i loro capi e i loro nobili in ceppi di ferro,
9 To execute the judgments decreed for them-- such is the glory of all God's faithful. Hallelujah!	9 eseguire su di essi la sentenza già scritta: un onore è questo per tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia.
