1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	1 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo:
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.	2 Fala a Aarão, e dize-lhe: Ao colocares as sete lâmpadas sobre o candelabro, coloca-as de forma que projetem luz para a parte da frente.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.	3 Aarão assim fez, e pôs as lâmpadas sobre a parte anterior do candelabro, conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.	4 O candelabro era todo de ouro batido a martelo, mesmo o pé e as flores. Segundo o modelo que o Senhor mostrou a Moisés, assim ele fez o candelabro.
5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	5 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo:
6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.	6 Toma os Levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel e purifica-os
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.	7 com estas cerimônias asperge-os com a água da purificação; rapem à navalha todo o corpo: lavem as suas vestes e purifiquem-se.
8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.	8 Depois tomarão um boi da manada, e, para a sua libação, flor de farinha borrifada com azeite; tu tomarás outro boi da manada pelo pecado,
9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:	9 e farás aproximar os Levitas diante do tabernáculo da reunião, depois de convocada toda a multidão dos filhos de Israel.
10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:	10 Quando os Levitas estiverem diante do Senhor, os filhos de Israel porão as suas mãos sobre eles.
11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.	11 Aarão oferecerá os Levitas como um dom dos filhos de Israel na presença do Senhor, para que o sirvam no seu ministério.
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.	12 Os Levitas também porão as suas mãos sobre as cabeças dos bois, dos quais sacrificarás um pelo pecado, e o outro em holocausto ao Senhor, para fazer a expiação dos Levitas.
13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.	13 Apresentarás os Levitas diante de Aarão e de seus filhos, e os sagrarás depois de os teres oferecido ao Senhor,
14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.	14 e separá-los-ás do meio dos filhos de Israel, para que sejam meus.
15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.	15 Depois disto, entrarão no tabernáculo da reunião para me servirem. Assim os purificarás e sagrarás em oferta ao Senhor, porque me foram dados como um dom pelos filhos de Israel.
16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.	16 Eu os recebi em lugar de todos os primogénitos de Israel, de todos os que saem primeiro do seio materno,
17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.	17 porque todos os primogênitos dos filhos de Israel, tanto de homens como de animais, são meus. Eu os consagrei a mim, desde o dia em que feri todos os primogênitos na terra do Egito.
18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.	18 Tomei os Levitas em lugar de todos os primogênitos dos filhos de Israel,
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.	19 e, (tirados) do meio do povo, dei-os inteiramente a Aarão e a seus filhos, para me servirem por Israel no tabernáculo da reunião e orarem por eles, para que não venha alguma praga sobre o povo, se ousarem aproximar-se do santuário.
20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.	20 Moisés, Aarão e toda a multidão dos filhos de Israel fizeram acerca dos Levitas o que o Senhor ordenara a Moisés,
21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.	21 Foram purificados e lavaram as suas vestes. Aarão apresentou-os diante do Senhor e orou por eles,
22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.	22 para que, depois de purificados, entrassem no tabernáculo da reunião a exercer as suas funções diante de Aarão e de seus filhos. Como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés acerca dos Levitas, assim se fez.
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	23 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo:
24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:	24 Esta é a lei relativa aos Levitas. Desde os vinte e cinco anos para cima entrarão a servir no tabernáculo da reunião.
25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:	25 Quando completarem cinquenta anos de idade, cessarão de servir;
26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.	26 (sòmente) ajudarão seus irmãos no tabernáculo da reunião, para guardarem as coisas que lhes forem confiadas, mas não mais exercerão as funções (ordinárias). Assim disporás os Levitas nos seus encargos.
