Psalms 54

1 when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?	1 For the leader. On stringed instruments. A maskil of David,
2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.	2 when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, "David is hiding among us."
3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.	3 O God, by your name save me. By your strength defend my cause.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.	4 O God, hear my prayer. Listen to the words of my mouth.
5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.	5 The arrogant have risen against me; the ruthless seek my life; they do not keep God before them. Selah
6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.	6 God is present as my helper; the Lord sustains my life.
7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.	7 Turn back the evil upon my foes; in your faithfulness, destroy them.
	8 Then I will offer you generous sacrifice and praise your gracious name, LORD,
	9 Because it has rescued me from every trouble, and my eyes look down on my foes.
