DOUAI-RHEIMS	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying:	1 No primeiro mês, do segundo ano após a saída do Egito, o Senhor falou a Moisés no deserto do Sinai.
2 Let the children of Israel make the phase in its due time,	2 Disse-lhe: "Celebrem os israelitas a Páscoa no tempo fixado.
3 The fourteenth day of this month in the evening, according to all the ceremonies and justifications thereof.	3 Vós a celebrareis no décimo quarto dia deste mês, conforme foi marcado, entre as duas tardes, e fareis essa festa segundo todas as leis e prescrições que lhes são próprias."
4 And Moses commanded the children of Israel that they should make the phase.	4 Moisés mandou que os israelitas celebrassem a Páscoa.
5 And they made it in its proper time: the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in mount Sinai. The children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded Moses.	5 Celebraram-na no décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês, entre as duas tardes, no deserto do Sinai. Os israelitas fizeram tudo o que o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
6 But behold some who were unclean by occasion of the soul of a men, who could not make the phase on that day, coming to Moses and Aaron,	6 Ora, alguns homens, não podendo fazer a Páscoa naquele dia, pois se tinham manchado tocando num cadáver, apresentaram-se a Moisés e Aarão naquele dia,
7 Said to them: We are unclean by occasion of the soul of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer in its season the offering to the Lord among the children of Israel?	7 e disseram-lhe: "Estamos impuros, porque tocamos num cadáver; vamos por isso ser privados de apresentar com os outros israelitas a oferta do Senhor no dia fixado?
8 And Moses answered them: Stay that I may consult the Lord what he will ordain concerning you.	8 "Esperai, respondeu Moisés, vou consultar o Senhor, para saber o que ordena a vosso respeito".
9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	9 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:
10 Say to the children of Israel: The man that shall be unclean by occasion of one that is dead, or shall be in a journey afar off in your nation, let him make the phase to the Lord.	10 "Dize aos israelitas o seguinte: se um de vós ou de vossos descendentes estiver impuro por haver tocado num morto, ou se achar em viagem longe de vós, não deixará de celebrar a Páscoa em honra do Senhor.
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, they shall eat it with unleavened bread and wild lettuce:	11 Eles a celebrarão aos catorze dias do segundo mês, entre as duas tardes; e comê-la-ão com pães sem fermento e ervas amargas.
12 They shall not leave any thing thereof until morning, a nor break a bone thereof, they shall observe all the ceremonies of the phase.	12 Nada deixarão dela para o dia seguinte, não quebrarão nenhum dos seus ossos, e farão essa festa segundo todas as prescrições relativas à Páscoa.
13 But if any man is clean, and was not on a journey, and did not make the phase, that soul shall be cut off from among his people, because he offered not sacrifice to the Lord in due season: he shall bear his sin.	13 Mas se alguém, estando puro, não se encontrar em viagem, e todavia não fizer a Páscoa, será cortado do seu povo, porque não apresentou a oferta do Senhor no tempo estabelecido; este levará a pena do seu pecado.
14 The sojourner also and the stranger if they be among you, shall make the phase to the Lord according to the ceremonies and justifications thereof. The same ordinance shall be with you both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.	14 Se o estrangeiro que mora no meio de vós fizer a Páscoa do Senhor, terá de se conformar às leis e às prescrições relativas à Páscoa. Haverá uma só lei, que será a mesma para vós, para o estrangeiro e para o natural."
15 Now on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, a cloud covered it. But from the evening there was over the tabernacle, as it were, the appearance of fire until the morning.	15 No dia em que o tabernáculo foi levantado, a nuvem o cobriu. E sobre o tabernáculo, isto é, na tenda do testemunho, desde a tarde até pela manhã, apareceu como uma espécie de fogo.
16 So it was always: by day the cloud covered it, and by night as it were the appearance of fire.	16 Assim acontecia continuamente: a nuvem cobria o tabernáculo e à noite assemelhava-se ao fogo.
17 And when the cloud that covered the tabernacle was taken up, then the children of Israel marched forward: and in the place where the cloud stood still, there they camped.	17 Quando se levantava a nuvem sobre a tenda, os israelitas punham-se em marcha; no lugar onde a nuvem parava, aí acampavam.
18 At the commandment of the Lord they marched, and at his commandment they pitched the tabernacle. All the days that the cloud abode over the tabernacle, they remained in the same place:	18 À ordem do Senhor levantavam o acampamento, e à sua ordem o assentavam de novo; e ficavam no acampamento enquanto a nuvem permanecesse sobre o tabernáculo.
19 And if it was so that it continued over it a long time, the children of Israel kept the watches of the Lord, and marched not,	19 Mesmo quando ela se detinha muito tempo sobre ele, os israelitas não partiam, e aguardavam a ordem do Senhor.
20 For as many days soever as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. At the commandment of the Lord they pitched their tents, and at his commandment they took them down.	20 E se acontecia de a nuvem ficar poucos dias sobre o tabernáculo, então, à ordem do Senhor, permaneciam acampados e, à ordem do Senhor, se punham em marcha.
21 If the cloud tarried from evening until morning, and immediately at break of day left the tabernacle, they marched forward: and if it departed after a day and a night, they took down their tents.	21 Se a nuvem se detinha desde a tarde até pela manhã, e chegada manhã se levantava, eles partiam; se depois de um dia e uma noite a nuvem se levantava, desmanchavam o acampamento.
22 But if it remained over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a longer time, the children of Israel remained in the same place, and marched not: but immediately as soon as it departed, they removed the camp.	22 Mas se a nuvem se detinha sobre o tabernáculo vários dias, um mês ou mesmo um ano, os israelitas permaneciam acampados e não partiam; só partiam quando se levantava a nuvem.
23 By the word of the Lord they pitched their tents, and by his word they marched: and kept the watches of the Lord according to his commandment by the hand of Moses.	23 Levantavam e desmanchavam o acampamento segundo a ordem do Senhor. E observavam o mandamento do Senhor, como este lhes tinha ordenado por Moisés.
