1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying:	1 - Il Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto di Sinai, il mese primo del second'anno da che erano usciti dall'Egitto, e disse:
2 Let the children of Israel make the phase in its due time,	2 «Facciano i figli d'Israele la Pasqua al suo tempo,
3 The fourteenth day of this month in the evening, according to all the ceremonies and justifications thereof.	3 il giorno quattordicesimo di questo mese, a sera, osservando tutte le sue cerimonie e prescrizioni».
4 And Moses commanded the children of Israel that they should make the phase.	4 Mosè dunque comandò ai figli d'Israele che celebrassero la Pasqua.
5 And they made it in its proper time: the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in mount Sinai. The children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded Moses.	5 Ed essi la celebrarono al suo tempo, la sera del quattordicesimo giorno del mese, sul monte Sinai. Conforme a tutto quello che il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè, così fecero i figli d'Israele.
6 But behold some who were unclean by occasion of the soul of a men, who could not make the phase on that day, coming to Moses and Aaron,	6 Ed ecco, alcuni i quali erano immondi per aver toccato un morto, e non potevano far la Pasqua in quel giorno, vennero a Mosè ed Aronne,
7 Said to them: We are unclean by occasion of the soul of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer in its season the offering to the Lord among the children of Israel?	7 e dissero loro: «Noi siamo immondi per causa di un morto: perchè d'esser impedito a noi, tra i figli d'Israele, d'offrire al Signore l'oblazione al suo tempo?».
8 And Moses answered them: Stay that I may consult the Lord what he will ordain concerning you.	8 Ai quali Mosè rispose: «Aspettate che io consulti il Signore su ciò che ordinerà per voi».
9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	9 Ed il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
10 Say to the children of Israel: The man that shall be unclean by occasion of one that is dead, or shall be in a journey afar off in your nation, let him make the phase to the Lord.	10 «Dirai a' figli d'Israele: - Quegli che fosse immondo a causa d'un morto, o fosse in viaggio lontano dalla vostra nazione, farà la Pasqua del Signore
11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, they shall eat it with unleavened bread and wild lettuce:	11 nel mese secondo, il quattordicesimo giorno, a sera. Là mangeranno con gli azzimi e con le lattughe selvatiche;
12 They shall not leave any thing thereof until morning, a nor break a bone thereof, they shall observe all the ceremonies of the phase.	12 non ne lasceranno alcun che per l'indomani, e non ne romperanno alcun osso; osserveranno tutto il rito pasquale.
13 But if any man is clean, and was not on a journey, and did not make the phase, that soul shall be cut off from among his people, because he offered not sacrifice to the Lord in due season: he shall bear his sin.	13 Ma se uno è mondo, e non è in viaggio e tuttavia non avrà fatto la Pasqua, l'anima sua verrà sterminata di fra il suo popolo per non aver offerto al tempo dovuto il sacrifizio al Signore; porterà egli il [peso del] proprio peccato.
14 The sojourner also and the stranger if they be among you, shall make the phase to the Lord according to the ceremonies and justifications thereof. The same ordinance shall be with you both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.	14 Anche il pellegrino ed il forestiero che saranno presso di voi, immoleranno al Signore la Pasqua, secondo le sue cerimonie e prescrizioni. Sarà eguale presso di voi il precetto, tanto per il forestiero quanto per il cittadino -».
15 Now on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, a cloud covered it. But from the evening there was over the tabernacle, as it were, the appearance of fire until the morning.	15 Il giorno dunque nel quale fu rizzato il tabernacolo, la nube lo ricoprì. Dalla sera poi sino alla mattina, era sul tabernacolo come una specie di fuoco.
16 So it was always: by day the cloud covered it, and by night as it were the appearance of fire.	16 Così era sempre: il giorno lo ricopriva la nube; e la notte, quella specie di fuoco.
17 And when the cloud that covered the tabernacle was taken up, then the children of Israel marched forward: and in the place where the cloud stood still, there they camped.	17 Quando la nube avvolgente il tabernacolo si moveva, allora i figli d'Israele partivano; nel luogo dove la nube si fermava, s'accampavano.
18 At the commandment of the Lord they marched, and at his commandment they pitched the tabernacle. All the days that the cloud abode over the tabernacle, they remained in the same place:	18 Al comando del Signore partivano, ed al comando di lui fermavano il tabernacolo. Per tutt'i giorni nei quali la nube stava ferma sul tabernacolo, rimanevano fermi nello stesso luogo;
19 And if it was so that it continued over it a long time, the children of Israel kept the watches of the Lord, and marched not,	19 se avveniva che quella vi restasse sopra per molto tempo, i figli d'Israele erano come guardie agli ordini del Signore, e non partivano,
20 For as many days soever as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle. At the commandment of the Lord they pitched their tents, and at his commandment they took them down.	20 per tutti que' giorni nei quali la nube restava sul tabernacolo. Al comando del Signore piantavan le tende, ed al suo comando le levavano.
21 If the cloud tarried from evening until morning, and immediately at break of day left the tabernacle, they marched forward: and if it departed after a day and a night, they took down their tents.	21 Se la nube si fermava dalla sera alla mattina, e subito al far del giorno lasciava il tabernacolo, partivano; se si moveva dopo un giorno e una notte, disfacevano l'accampamento.
22 But if it remained over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a longer time, the children of Israel remained in the same place, and marched not: but immediately as soon as it departed, they removed the camp.	22 Se stava sul tabernacolo per due giorni, o per un mese, o per più tempo, rimanevano i figli d'Israele in quel luogo, e non partivano; appena però quella si moveva, levavano il campo.
23 By the word of the Lord they pitched their tents, and by his word they marched: and kept the watches of the Lord according to his commandment by the hand of Moses.	23 Alla parola del Signore fermavano le tende, ed alla sua parola si mettevano in cammino; erano come guardie del Signore, secondo gli ordini che aveva dato per mezzo di Mosè.
