Psalms 99

1 A psalm for David himself. The Lord hath reigned, let the people be angry: he that sitteth on the cherubims: let the earth be moved.	1 Yahvé règne, les peuples tremblent; il siège sur les Chérubins, la terre chancelle;
2 The Lord is great in Sion, and high above all people.	2 dans Sion Yahvé est grand. Il s'exalte, lui, par-dessus tous les peuples;
3 Let them give praise to thy great name: for it is terrible and holy:	3 qu'ils célèbrent ton nom grand et redoutable: il est saint, lui,
4 and the king's honour loveth judgment. Thou hast prepared directions: thou hast done judgment and justice in Jacob.	4 et puissant. Le roi qui aime le jugement, c'est toi; tu as fondé droiture, jugement et justice, en Jacobc'est toi qui agis.
5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore his footstool, for it is holy.	5 Exaltez Yahvé notre Dieu, prosternez-vous vers son marchepied: lui, il est saint.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests: and Samuel among them that call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heard them:	6 Moïse, Aaron parmi ses prêtres, et Samuel, appelant son nom, en appelaient à Yahvé: et lui, il leurrépondait.
7 he spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies, and the commandment which he gave them.	7 Dans la colonne de nuée, il parlait avec eux; eux gardaient ses témoignages, la Loi qu'il leur donna.
8 Thou didst hear them, O Lord our God: thou wast a merciful God to them, and taking vengeance on all their inventions.	8 Yahvé notre Dieu, toi, tu leur répondais, Dieu de pardon que tu étais pour eux, mais te vengeant deleurs méfaits.
9 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore at his holy mountain: for the Lord our God is holy.	9 Exaltez Yahvé notre Dieu, prosternez-vous vers sa sainte montagne: saint est Yahvé notre Dieu.
