1 SE dunque voi siete risuscitati con Cristo, cercate le cose di sopra, dove Cristo è a sedere alla destra di Dio.	1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Pensate alle cose di sopra, non a quelle che son sopra la terra.	2 Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.
3 Perciocchè voi siete morti, e la vita vostra è nascosta con Cristo in Dio.	3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 Quando Cristo, che è la vita vostra, apparirà, allora ancor voi apparirete con lui in gloria	4 When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.
5 Mortificate adunque le vostre membra che son sopra la terra; fornicazione, immondizia, lussuria nefanda, mala concupiscenza, ed avarizia, che è idolatria.	5 Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.
6 Per le quali cose viene l’ira di Dio sopra i figliuoli della disubbidienza.	6 Because of these the wrath of God is coming (upon the disobedient).
7 Nelle quali già camminaste ancor voi, quando vivevate in esse	7 By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.
8 Ma ora deponete ancora voi tutte queste cose: ira, cruccio, malizia, e fuor della vostra bocca maldicenza, e parlar disonesto.	8 But now you must put them all away: anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.
9 Non mentite gli uni agli altri, avendo spogliato l’uomo vecchio co’ suoi atti;	9 Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices
10 e vestito il nuovo, che si rinnova a conoscenza, secondo l’immagine di colui che l’ha creato.	10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.
11 Dove non vi è Greco e Giudeo, circoncisione e incirconcisione, Barbaro e Scita, servo e franco; ma Cristo è ogni cosa, ed in tutti	11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.
12 Vestitevi adunque, come eletti di Dio, santi, e diletti, di viscere di misericordia, di benignità, d’umiltà, di mansuetudine, di pazienza;	12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
13 comportandovi gli uni gli altri, e perdonandovi, se alcuno ha qualche querela contro ad un altro; come Cristo ancora vi ha perdonati, fate voi altresì il simigliante.	13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.
14 E per tutte queste cose, vestitevi di carità, che è il legame della perfezione.	14 And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.
15 Ed abbia la presidenza ne’ cuori vostri la pace di Dio, alla quale ancora siete stati chiamati in un corpo; e siate riconoscenti.	15 And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.
16 La parola di Cristo abiti in voi doviziosamente, in ogni sapienza; ammaestrandovi, ed ammonendovi gli uni gli altri, con salmi, ed inni, e canzoni spirituali; cantando con grazia del cuor vostro al Signore.	16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 E qualunque cosa facciate, in parola, o in opera, fate ogni cosa nel nome del Signore Gesù, rendendo grazie a Dio, e Padre, per lui	17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
18 MOGLI, siate soggette a’ mariti, come si conviene nel Signore.	18 Wives, be subordinate to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.
19 Mariti, amate le mogli, e non v’inasprite contro a loro.	19 Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them.
20 Figliuoli, ubbidite a’ padri e madri, in ogni cosa; poichè questo è accettevole al Signore.	20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 Padri, non provocate ad ira i vostri figliuoli, acciocchè non vengan meno dell’animo.	21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they may not become discouraged.
22 Servi, ubbidite in ogni cosa a quelli che son vostri signori secondo la carne; non servendo all’occhio, come per piacere agli uomini; ma in semplicità di cuore, temendo Iddio.	22 Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not only when being watched, as currying favor, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23 E qualunque cosa facciate, operate d’animo, facendolo come al Signore, e non agli uomini;	23 Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others,
24 sapendo che dal Signore riceverete la retribuzione dell’eredità; poichè voi servite a Cristo, il Signore.	24 knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance; be slaves of the Lord Christ.
25 Ma chi fa torto riceverà la retribuzione del torto ch’egli avrà fatto, e non vi è riguardo a qualità di persona	25 For the wrongdoer will receive recompense for the wrong he committed, and there is no partiality.
