Deuteronomio 14

DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 VOI siete figliuoli del Signore Iddio vostro; non vi fate tagliature addosso, e non vi dipelate fra gli occhi, per alcun morto.	1 'You are children of Yahweh your God. You must not gash yourselves or shave your foreheads for thedead.
2 Conciossachè tu sii un popolo santo al Signore Iddio tuo; e il Signore ti ha eletto d’infra tutti i popoli che son sopra la terra, per essergli un popolo peculiare.	2 For you are a people consecrated to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be his ownpeople from al the peoples on the earth.
3 Non mangiar cosa alcuna abbominevole.	3 'You must not eat anything disgusting.
4 Queste son le bestie, delle quali voi potrete mangiare: il bue, la pecora, la capra,	4 These are the animals you may eat: ox, sheep, goat,
5 il cervo, il cavriuolo, la gran capra, la rupicapra, il daino, il bufalo, e la camozza.	5 deer, gazel e, roebuck, ibex, antelope, oryx, mountain sheep.
6 In somma, voi potrete mangiar d’ogni bestia che ha il piè forcuto, e l’unghia spartita in due, e che rumina.	6 You may eat any animal that has a divided and cloven hoof and that is a ruminant.
7 Ma fra quelle che ruminano, o hanno il piè forcuto, e l’unghia spartita, non mangiate del cammello, nè della lepre, nè del coniglio; conciossiachè ruminino, ma non abbiano l’unghia spartita; sienvi immondi;	7 Of those, however, that are ruminants and of those that have a divided and cloven hoof you may noteat the fol owing: the camel, the hare and the coney, which are ruminants but have no cloven hoof; you mustclass them as unclean.
8 nè del porco; conciossiachè egli abbia l’unghia spartita, ma non rumini; siavi immondo. Non mangiate della carne di questi animali, e non toccate i lor corpi morti.	8 So also the pig, which though it has a cloven hoof is not a ruminant; you must class it as unclean. Youmust neither eat the meat of such animals nor touch their dead bodies.
9 Di tutti gli animali che son nell’acque, voi potrete mangiar di queste specie, cioè: di tutte quelle che hanno pennette e scaglie;	9 'Of whatever lives in water you may eat the fol owing: you may eat anything that has fins and scales.
10 ma non mangiate di alcuna che non ha pennette e scaglie; sienvi immondi.	10 But you must not eat anything without fins and scales: you must class it as unclean.
11 Voi potrete mangiar d’ogni uccello mondo.	11 'You may eat al clean birds,
12 E questi son quelli de’ quali non dovete mangiare, cioè: l’aquila, e il girifalco, e l’aquila marina,	12 but the fol owing birds you must not eat: the tawny vulture, the griffon, the osprey,
13 ogni specie di falcone, e di nibbio, e d’avoltoio,	13 the kite and the several kinds of buzzard,
14 e ogni specie di corvo,	14 al kinds of raven,
15 e l’ulula, e la civetta, e la folica, e ogni specie di sparviere,	15 the ostrich, the screech owl, the seagul , the several kinds of hawk,
16 e il gufo, e l’ibis, e il cigno,	16 owl, barn owl, ibis,
17 e il pellicano, e la pica, e lo smergo,	17 pelican, white vulture, cormorant,
18 e la cicogna, e ogni specie d’aghirone, e l’upupa, e il vipistrello.	18 stork, the several kinds of heron, hoopoe and bat.
19 Siavi parimente immondo ogni rettile volatile; non mangisene.	19 You are to class al winged insects as unclean and must not eat them.
20 Voi potrete mangiar d’ogni volatile mondo.	20 You may eat any clean fowl.
21 Non mangiate d’alcuna carne morta da sè; dalla a mangiare al forestiere che sarà dentro alle tue porte, o vendila ad alcuno straniere; perciocchè tu sei un popol santo al Signore Iddio tuo. Non cuocere il capretto nel latte di sua madre	21 'You must not eat any animal that has died a natural death. You may give it to a resident foreigner toeat, or sel it to a foreigner. For you are a people consecrated to Yahweh your God. 'You must not boil a kid in itsmother's milk.
22 DEL tutto leva la decima di tutta la rendita della tua sementa, prodotta dal campo tuo, ogni anno.	22 'Every year, you must take a tithe of what your fields produce from what you have sown
23 E mangia davanti al Signore Iddio tuo, nel luogo ch’egli avrà scelto per istanziarvi il suo Nome, le decime del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto, e del tuo olio, e i primi parti del tuo grosso e minuto bestiame; acciocchè tu impari a temere il Signore Iddio tuo del continuo.	23 and, in the presence of Yahweh your God, in the place where he chooses to give his name a home,you must eat the tithe of your wheat, of your new wine and of your oil, and the first-born of your herd and flock;and by so doing, you wil learn always to fear Yahweh your God.
24 E se il cammino ti è troppo grande, sì che tu non possa portar quelle decime, per esser quel luogo, che il Signore Iddio tuo avrà scelto per mettervi il suo Nome, troppo lontano da te; perciocchè il Signore ti avrà benedetto;	24 'If the road is too long for you, if you cannot bring your tithe because the place in which Yahwehchooses to make a home for his name is too far away, when Yahweh your God has blessed you,
25 fanne danari, e metti quegli in borsa, e prendili in mano, e va’ al luogo che il Signore tuo avrà scelto;	25 you must convert it into money and, with the money clasped in your hand, you must go to the placechosen by Yahweh your God;
26 e impiega que’ danari in tutto quello che l’anima tua desidererà, in buoi, in pecore, in vino, e in cervogia, e in somma in qualunque cosa l’anima tua richiederà; e mangia quivi davanti al Signore Iddio tuo, e rallegrati tu e la tua famiglia.	26 there you may spend the money on whatever you like, oxen, sheep, wine, fermented liquor, anythingyou please. There you must eat in the presence of Yahweh your God and rejoice, you and your household.
27 E non abbandonare il Levita che sarà dentro alle tue porte; conciossiachè egli non abbia nè parte nè eredità teco.	27 Do not neglect the Levite living in your community, since he has no share or heritage of his ownamong you.
28 In capo d’ogni terzo anno, leva tutte le decime della tua entrata di quell’anno, e riponle dentro alle tue porte.	28 'At the end of every three years, you must take al the tithes of your harvests for that year and col ectthem in your community.
29 E venga il Levita conciossiachè egli non abbia nè parte nè eredità teco, e il forestiere, e l’orfano e la vedova, che saranno dentro alle tue porte, e mangino, e sieno saziati; acciocchè il Signore Iddio tuo ti benedica in ogni opera delle tue mani che tu farai	29 Then the Levite -- since he has no share or heritage of his own among you -- the foreigner, theorphan and the widow living in your community, wil come and eat all they want. And so Yahweh your God wilbless you in al the labours that you undertake.'
