Génesis 46

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Israel partió llevándose todos sus bienes. Cuando llegó a Berseba, ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.	1 So Israel set out with al his possessions. Arriving at Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of hisfather Isaac.
2 Dios dijo a Israel en una visión nocturna: «¡Jacob, Jacob!». El respondió: «Aquí estoy».	2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, 'Jacob, Jacob,' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied.
3 Dios continuó: «Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre. No tengas miedo de bajar a Egipto, porque allí haré de ti una gran nación.	3 'I am El, God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I will make you intoa great nation there.
4 Yo bajaré contigo a Egipto, y después yo mismo te haré volver; y las manos de José cerrarán tus ojos».	4 I shal go down to Egypt with you and I myself shall bring you back again, and Joseph's hand wilclose your eyes.'
5 Cuando Jacob salió de Berseba, los hijos de Israel hicieron subir a su padre, junto con sus hijos y sus mujeres, en los carros que el Faraón había enviado para trasladarlos.	5 So Jacob left Beersheba. Israel's sons conveyed their father Jacob, their little children and their wivesin the waggons Pharaoh had sent to fetch him.
6 Ellos se llevaron también su ganado y las posesiones que habían adquirido en Canaán. Así llegaron a Egipto, Jacob y toda su familia	6 Taking their livestock and all that they had acquired in Canaan, they arrived in Egypt -- Jacob and alhis offspring.

20 En Egipto, José fue padre de Manasés y Efraím, los hijos que le dio Asnat, la hija de Potifera, sacerdote de la ciudad de On.	20 Born to Joseph in Egypt were: Manasseh and Ephraim sons of Asenath, daughter of Potiphera priestof On.
21 Los hijos de Benjamín: Belá, Béquer, Asbel, Guerá, Naamán, Ejí, Ros, Mupím, Jupím y Ard.	21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.
22 Estos son los hijos de Raquel, que le nacieron a Jacob. En total, catorce personas.	22 These were the sons that Rachel bore to Jacob -- fourteen persons in al .
23 El hijo de Dan: Jusím.	23 The sons of Dan: Hushim.
24 Los hijos de Neftalí: Iajsel, Guní, Iéser y Silém.	24 The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer and Shil em.
25 Estos son los descendientes de Bilhá, la esclava que Labán había dado a su hija Raquel. De ella le nacieron a Jacob estas siete personas.	25 These were the sons of Bilhah whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; she bore these to Jacob --seven persons in all.
26 Toda la familia de Jacob que emigró a Egipto –sus propios descendientes, sin contar a las mujeres de sus hijos– sumaban un total de sesenta y seis personas,	26 Altogether, the members of Jacob's family who arrived with him in Egypt -- his own issue, notcounting the wives of Jacob's sons -- numbered sixty-six all told.
27 incluyendo a José y a los dos hijos que este tuvo en Egipto, toda la familia de Jacob, cuando emigró a Egipto, sumaba un total de setenta personas.	27 With Joseph's sons born to him in Egypt -- two persons -- the members of Jacob's family who wentto Egypt totalled seventy.
28 Israel hizo que Judá se le adelantara y fuera a ver a José, para anunciarle su llegada a Gosen. Cuando llegaron a la región de Gosen,	28 Israel sent Judah ahead to Joseph, so that Judah might present himself to Joseph in Goshen. Whenthey arrived in Goshen,
29 José hizo enganchar su carruaje y subió hasta allí para encontrarse con su padre Israel. Apenas este apareció ante él, José lo estrechó entre sus brazos, y lloró un largo rato, abrazado a su padre.	29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as heappeared he threw his arms round his neck and for a long time wept on his shoulder.
30 Entonces Israel dijo a José: «Ahora sí que puedo morir, porque he vuelto a ver tu rostro y que vives todavía».	30 Israel said to Joseph, 'Now I can die, now that I have seen you in person and seen you stil alive.'
