1 La suerte que tocó a los hijos de José comenzaba, por el lado oriental, en el Jordán, a la altura de Jericó (las aguas de Jericó), en el desierto que sube de Jericó a la montaña de Betel;	1 The lot that fell to the Josephites extended from the Jordan at Jericho to the waters of Jericho east of the desert; then the boundary went up from Jericho to the heights at Bethel.
2 siguiendo de Betel a Luz, pasaba hacia la frontera de los arquitas por Atarot;	2 Leaving Bethel for Luz, it crossed the ridge to the border of the Archites at Ataroth,
3 bajaba después al oeste hacia la frontera de los yafletitas, hasta Guézer, y venía a salir al mar.	3 and descended westward to the border of the Japhletites, to that of the Lower Beth-horon, and to Gezer, ending thence at the sea.
4 Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraím.	4 Within the heritage of Manasseh and Ephraim, sons of Joseph,

7 bajaba de Yanojá a Atarot y a Naará y tocaba en Jericó para terminar en el Jordán.	7 from there it descended to Ataroth and Naarah, and skirting Jericho, it ended at the Jordan.
8 De Tappuaj iba el límite hacia occidente por el torrente de Caná y venía a parar en el mar. Esta fue la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Efraím según sus clanes,	8 From Tappuah the boundary ran westward to the Wadi Kanah and ended at the sea. This was the heritage of the clans of the Ephraimites,
9 además de las ciudades reservadas para los hijos de Efraím de la herencia de los hijos de Manasés; todas estas ciudades y sus aldeas.	9 including the villages that belonged to each city set aside for the Ephraimites within the territory of the Manassehites.
10 El cananeo que ocupaba Guézer no fue expulsado y así continúa en medio de Efraím hasta el día de hoy, pero sujeto a servidumbre.	10 But they did not drive out the Canaanites living in Gezer, who live on within Ephraim to the present day, though they have been impressed as laborers.
