Josué 16

1 La suerte que tocó a los hijos de José comenzaba, por el lado oriental, en el Jordán, a la altura de Jericó (las aguas de Jericó), en el desierto que sube de Jericó a la montaña de Betel;	1 And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Bethel,
2 siguiendo de Betel a Luz, pasaba hacia la frontera de los arquitas por Atarot;	2 And goeth out from Bethel to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth,
3 bajaba después al oeste hacia la frontera de los yafletitas, hasta Guézer, y venía a salir al mar.	3 And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.
4 Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraím.	4 So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
5 Límite de los hijos de Efraím por clanes: el límite de su heredad era por el este Atrot Arak hasta Bet Jorón de Arriba	5 And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;
6 e iba e salir el límite al mar... el Mikmetat al norte, y el límite doblaba al oriente hacia Taanat Silo, y la cruzaba al este hacia Yanojá;	6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;
7 bajaba de Yanojá a Atarot y a Naará y tocaba en Jericó para terminar en el Jordán.	7 And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.
8 De Tappuaj iba el límite hacia occidente por el torrente de Caná y venía a parar en el mar. Esta fue la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Efraím según sus clanes,	8 The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.
9 además de las ciudades reservadas para los hijos de Efraím de la herencia de los hijos de Manasés; todas estas ciudades y sus aldeas.	9 And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
10 El cananeo que ocupaba Guézer no fue expulsado y así continúa en medio de Efraím hasta el día de hoy, pero sujeto a servidumbre.	10 And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.
