1 Manassé avait 12 ans quand il monta sur le trône, il régna 55 ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s’appelait Hephsiba.	1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzi-bah.
2 Il fit ce qui est mal au regard de Yahvé, selon les pratiques honteuses des nations que Yahvé avait dépossédées devant les Israélites.	2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
3 Il reconstruisit les Hauts-Lieux que son père Ézékias avait fait disparaître. Il dressa un autel à Baal, un pieu sacré comme l’avait fait Akab, roi d’Israël; il se prosterna devant toute l’Armée des Cieux et se mit à la servir.	3 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Il construisit des autels dans la Maison de Yahvé, dans ce temple dont Yahvé lui-même avait dit: “C’est à Jérusalem que je mettrai mon Nom.”	4 And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5 Il construisit des autels à toute l’Armée des Cieux dans les deux cours de la Maison de Yahvé.	5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
6 Il offrit son fils en sacrifice par le feu, il pratiqua l’astrologie et la magie, il installa des sorciers et des devins, et de bien des façons il provoqua la colère de Yahvé en faisant ce qui est mal à ses yeux.	6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
7 Il mit la statue d’Ashéra qu’il avait faite dans la Maison dont Yahvé avait dit à David et à Salomon son fils: “C’est dans ce Temple, dans cette ville de Jérusalem que j’ai choisie parmi toutes les tribus d’Israël, que je mettrai mon Nom pour toujours.	7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 S’ils font bien tout ce que je leur ai commandé, s’ils pratiquent la Loi que mon serviteur Moïse leur a ordonnée, je ne ferai plus errer Israël loin de la terre que j’ai donnée à ses pères.”	8 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 Mais ils n’écoutèrent pas et Manassé les entraîna à faire le mal, plus encore que les nations que Yahvé avait détruites devant les Israélites.	9 But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 C’est ce que Yahvé déclara par la bouche de ses serviteurs les prophètes:	10 And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11 “Manassé, roi de Juda, a fait des choses honteuses. Il a agi plus mal encore que les Amorites qui étaient là auparavant, et par ses idoles il a fait pécher Juda.	11 Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 C’est pourquoi, dit Yahvé, Dieu d’Israël, je ferai venir sur Jérusalem et sur Juda un malheur tel, que les oreilles tinteront à tous ceux qui l’apprendront.	12 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13 Je nivellerai Jérusalem comme j’ai fait pour Samarie, je la traiterai comme la maison d’Akab. Je nettoierai Jérusalem comme on nettoie un plat: on le lave et ensuite on le retourne à l’envers.	13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14 Je rejetterai le reste de ceux qui m’appartenaient, je les livrerai aux mains de leurs ennemis et ils deviendront la proie et le butin de tous leurs ennemis.	14 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 Car depuis le jour où leurs pères sont montés d’Égypte jusqu’à ce jour, ils ont fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux; ils n’ont fait que me mettre en colère.”	15 Because they have done that which was evil in my sight,and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16 En plus du péché que Manassé fit commettre à Juda, faisant ce qui est mal au regard de Yahvé, il répandit le sang innocent à tel point que Jérusalem en était remplie d’un bout à l’autre.	16 Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
17 Le reste des actes de Manassé, tout ce qu’il a fait, le péché qu’il a commis, cela n’est-il pas écrit dans le Livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?	17 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18 Manassé se coucha avec ses pères et on l’enterra dans le jardin de sa maison, dans le jardin d’Ouza. Son fils Amon régna à sa place.	18 And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19 Amon avait 22 ans lorsqu’il monta sur le trône, il régna deux ans à Jérusalem; sa mère était Méchoulémet, fille de Harous, de Yotba.	19 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20 Il fit ce qui est mal au regard de Yahvé, tout comme son père Manassé.	20 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.
21 Il suivit en tout point la conduite de son père, il servit les ordures qu’avait servies son père et il se prosterna devant elles.	21 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22 Il abandonna Yahvé, le Dieu de ses pères, au lieu de marcher dans ses voies.	22 And he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.
23 Les serviteurs d’Amon conspirèrent contre lui: ils assassinèrent le roi dans son palais.	23 And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24 Mais le peuple-du-pays fit périr tous ceux qui avaient conspiré contre le roi Amon; ils établirent Josias, son fils, comme roi à sa place.	24 And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 Le reste des actes d’Amon, ce qu’il a fait, cela n’est-il pas écrit au Livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?	25 Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26 On l’enterra dans la tombe de son père, dans le jardin d’Ouza, et son fils Josias régna à sa place.	26 And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
