1 Salmo di David, venendo a lui Natan profeta, quando entrò a Betsabee.	1 A psalm of Asaph. The LORD, the God of gods, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
2 Abbi misericordia di me, o Iddio, secondo la tua grande misericordia.	2 From Zion God shines forth. perfect in beauty.
3 E secondo le moltitudini delle tue misericordie, leva la mia iniquità.	3 Our God comes and will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes, storming fiercely round about.
4 Molto più lava me dalla mia iniquità; e monda me dal peccato mio.	4 God summons the heavens above and the earth to the judgment of his people:
5 Imperò ch' io conosco la mia iniquità; e contra di me è sempre il mio peccato.	5 "Gather my faithful ones before me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
6 A te solo ho peccato, e avanti a te ho fatto male; acciò fossi giustificato nelli tuoi parlari, e vinchi quando sarai giudicato.	6 The heavens proclaim divine justice, for God alone is the judge. Selah
7 Ecco, certo che son concetto nelle iniquità; e nelli peccati mi concepette la mia madre.	7 "Listen, my people, I will speak; Israel, I will testify against you; God, your God, am I.
8 Ecco, certo che hai amato la verità; mi hai manifestato li incerti e secreti della tua sapienza.	8 Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, nor for your holocausts, set before me daily.
9 Tu mi laverai coll' issopo, e sarò mondo; lavera'mi, e sarò bianco sopra la neve.	9 I need no bullock from your house, no goats from your fold.
10 Al mio audito darai allegrezza e letizia; e rallegreransi l'ossa umiliate.	10 For every animal of the forest is mine, beasts by the thousands on my mountains.
11 Dalli miei peccati rimuovi la tua faccia; e scancella tutte le mie iniquità.	11 I know every bird of the heavens; the creatures of the field belong to me.
12 Crea, Iddio, in me il cuore mondo; e rinnova nelle mie viscere il spirito dritto.	12 Were I hungry, I would not tell you, for mine is the world and all that fills it.
13 Non mi scacciare dalla faccia tua; e da me non rimovere il tuo santo Spirito.	13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
14 A me rendi la letizia del tuo Salvatore; e nel principale spirito confirma me.	14 Offer praise as your sacrifice to God; fulfill your vows to the Most High.
15 Insegnerò alli iniqui le tue vie; e gli empii a te si convertiranno.	15 Then call on me in time of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me."
16 Libera me da' molti peccati, Dio, Dio della mia salute; e con la mia lingua esalterò la giustizia tua.	16 But to the wicked God says: "Why do you recite my commandments and profess my covenant with your lips?
17 Signore, tu aprirai le mie labbra; e la mia bocca annunzierà la tua laude..	17 You hate discipline; you cast my words behind you!
18 Imperò [che] se avessi vogliuto il sacrificio, certo te l'avrei dato; non sei dilettato delli olocausti.	18 When you see thieves, you befriend them; with adulterers you throw in your lot.
19 Il sacrificio a Dio è il spirito contribulato; il cuore contrito e umiliato tu, Iddio, non disprezzerai.	19 You give your mouth free rein for evil; you harness your tongue to deceit.
20 Ma tu, Signore, fa benignamente nella tua buona volontà a Sion; acciò siano edificate le mura di Ierusalem.	20 You sit maligning your own kin, slandering the child of your own mother.
21 Allora accetterai i sacrificii di giustizia, le offerte (tue) e li olocausti; allora sopra il tuo altare poneranno li vitelli.	21 When you do these things should I be silent? Or do you think that I am like you? I accuse you, I lay the charge before you.
	22 "Understand this, you who forget God, lest I attack you with no one to rescue.
	23 Those who offer praise as a sacrifice honor me; to the obedient I will show the salvation of God."
