SAGRADA BIBLIANEW AMERICAN BIBLE
Beseleel, Ooliab e todos os homens prudentes que o Senhor dotou de inteligência e habilidade, para saberem executar todos os trabalhos necessários ao serviço do santuário, conformaram-se inteiramente às instruções recebidas do Senhor.1 "Bezalel, therefore, will set to work with Oholiab and with all the experts whom the LORD has endowed with skill and understanding in knowing how to execute all the work for the service of the sanctuary, just as the LORD has commanded."
Moisés chamou Beseleel, Ooliab e todos os homens prudentes que o Senhor tinha dotado de inteligência, todos os que eram impelidos pelo seu coração a empreender a execução desse trabalho.2 Moses then called Bezalel and Oholiab and all the other experts whom the LORD had endowed with skill, men whose hearts moved them to come and take part in the work.
They received from Moses all the contributions which the Israelites had brought for establishing the service of the sanctuary. Still, morning after morning the people continued to bring their voluntary offerings to Moses.
os homens prudentes que executavam os trabalhos do santuário deixaram cada um a obra que estava fazendo, e vieram dizer a Moisés:4 Thereupon the experts who were executing the various kinds of work for the sanctuary, all left the work they were doing,
"O povo traz muito mais do que é necessário para a execução do trabalho que o Senhor ordenou".5 and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than is needed to carry out the work which the LORD has commanded us to do."
Então, por ordem de Moisés, fez-se no acampamento esta proclamação: "Que ninguém, nem homem nem mulher, traga mais ofertas para o santuário". Assim, o povo foi proibido de trazer mais.6 Moses, therefore, ordered a proclamation to be made throughout the camp: "Let neither man nor woman make any more contributions for the sanctuary." So the people stopped bringing their offerings;
O material trazido era mais que suficiente para tudo o que havia a fazer.7 there was already enough at hand, in fact, more than enough, to complete the work to be done.
The various experts who were executing the work, made the Dwelling with its ten sheets woven of fine linen twined, having cherubim embroidered on them with violet, purple and scarlet yarn.
O comprimento de cada cortina era de vinte e oito côvados, sua largura de quatro côvados; e tinham todas as mesmas dimensões.9 The length of each sheet was twenty-eight cubits, and the width four cubits; all the sheets were of the same size.
Juntaram as cortinas cinco por cinco.10 Five of the sheets were sewed together, edge to edge; and the same for the other five.
Laços de púrpura violeta foram colocados na orla da cortina que rematava esses dois grupos.11 Loops of violet yarn were made along the edge of the end sheet in the first set, and the same along the edge of the end sheet in the second set.
Foram postos cinqüenta laços na primeira cortina, e cinqüenta na extremidade da última cortina do segundo grupo, situadas bem em face umas das outras.12 Fifty loops were thus put on one inner sheet, and fifty loops on the inner sheet in the other set, with the loops directly opposite each other.
Then fifty clasps of gold were made, with which the sheets were joined so that the Dwelling formed one whole.
Fizeram-se, em seguida, cortinas de peles de cabra, para formar uma tenda sobre o tabernáculo; foram feitas onze dessas cortinas.14 Sheets of goat hair were also woven as a tent over the Dwelling. Eleven such sheets were made.
O comprimento de uma delas era de trinta côvados, e sua largura de quarenta côvados; e tinham todas as mesmas dimensões.15 The length of each sheet was thirty cubits and the width four cubits; all eleven sheets were the same size.
Cinco dessas cortinas foram juntadas de um lado, e seis de outro.16 Five of these sheets were sewed edge to edge into one set; and the other six sheets into another set.
Cinqüenta colchetes foram colocados na orla da última cortina de um desses grupos e cinqüenta na orla da última cortina do segundo.17 Fifty loops were made along the edge of the end sheet in one set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding sheet in the other set.
Depois fizeram cinqüenta colchetes de bronze para unir as peças, de modo que a tenda formasse um só todo.18 Fifty bronze clasps were made with which the tent was joined so that it formed one whole.
A covering for the tent was made of rams' skins dyed red, and above that, a covering of tahash skins.
As tábuas do tabernáculo foram feitas de madeira de acácia, colocadas verticalmente.20 Boards of acacia wood were made as walls for the Dwelling.
As tábuas tinham dez côvados de comprimento e um côvado e meio de largura.21 The length of each board was ten cubits, and the width one and a half cubits.
Each board had two arms, fastening them in line. In this way all the boards of the Dwelling were made.
Fizeram para o lado meridional do tabernáculo, ao sul, vinte tábuas.23 They were set up as follows: twenty boards on the south side,
Meteram sob essas vinte tábuas quarenta suportes de prata, dois sob cada tábua, para seus dois encaixes.24 with forty silver pedestals under the twenty boards, so that there were two pedestals under each board, at its two arms;
Para o segundo lado do tabernáculo, ao norte, fizeram vinte tábuas,25 twenty boards on the other side of the Dwelling, the north side,
com quarenta suportes de prata, à razão de dois por tábua.26 with their forty silver pedestals, two under each board;
Para o fundo do tabernáculo, ao ocidente, fizeram seis tábuas.27 six boards at the rear of the Dwelling, to the west;
Para os ângulos do tabernáculo, ao fundo, fizeram duas tábuas.28 and two boards at the corners in the rear of the Dwelling.
These were double at the bottom, and likewise double at the top, to the first ring. That is how both boards in the corners were made.
Thus, there were in the rear eight boards, with their sixteen silver pedestals, two pedestals under each board.
Fizeram em seguida cinco travessas de madeira de acácia para as tábuas de um dos lados do tabernáculo,31 Bars of acacia wood were also made, five for the boards on one side of the Dwelling,
cinco para as tábuas do segundo lado e cinco para as que estavam do lado posterior do tabernáculo, ao ocidente.32 five for those on the other side, and five for those at the rear, to the west.
The center bar, at the middle of the boards, was made to reach across from end to end.
Recobriram de ouro essas tábuas e se lhes puseram argolas de ouro, pelas quais passaram as travessas, recobertas também elas de ouro.34 The boards were plated with gold, and gold rings were made on them as holders for the bars, which were also plated with gold.
Foi feito o véu de púrpura violeta e escarlate, de carmesim e linho retorcido, onde foram bordados artisticamente alguns querubins.35 The veil was woven of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, and of fine linen twined, with cherubim embroidered on it.
Fizeram para ele quatro colunas de madeira de acácia revestidas de ouro, com pregos de ouro, e fundiram para elas quatro pedestais de prata.36 Four gold-plated columns of acacia wood, with gold hooks, were made for it, and four silver pedestals were cast for them.
Para a entrada da tenda foi feito o véu de púrpura violeta e escarlate, de carmesim e linho retorcido, artisticamente bordado.37 The curtain for the entrance of the tent was made of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, and of fine linen twined, woven in a variegated manner.
Its five columns, with their hooks as well as their capitals and bands, were plated with gold; their five pedestals were of bronze.
