Deuteronomio 12

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Queste sono le prescrizioni e i decreti che baderete di praticare nella terra che il Signore, Dio dei tuoi padri, ti ha dato da conquistare, per tutti i giorni della vostra vita su quel suolo.	1 "These are the statutes and decrees which you must be careful to observe in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to occupy, as long as you live on its soil.
2 Distruggerete interamente tutti i luoghi nei quali le nazioni che voi state per conquistare hanno servito i loro dèi: sugli alti monti, sulle colline e sotto ogni albero frondoso.	2 Destroy without fail every place on the high mountains, on the hills, and under every leafy tree where the nations you are to dispossess worship their gods.
3 Demolirete i loro altari, frantumerete le loro stele, i loro pali sacri li brucerete nel fuoco, spezzerete le statue dei loro dèi e farete perire il loro nome da quei luoghi.	3 Tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, destroy by fire their sacred poles, and shatter the idols of their gods, that you may stamp out the remembrance of them in any such place.
4 Non farete così con il Signore vostro Dio,	4 "That is not how you are to worship the LORD, your God.
5 ma lo cercherete nella sua dimora, nel luogo che il Signore vostro Dio sceglierà tra tutte le tribù di mettere il suo nome, e qui verrai.	5 Instead, you shall resort to the place which the LORD, your God, chooses out of all your tribes and designates as his dwelling
6 Porterete qui i vostri olocausti, i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime e il dono delle vostre mani, i vostri voti, le vostre offerte spontanee e i primogeniti del vostro bestiame grosso e del vostro bestiame minuto;	6 and there you shall bring your holocausts and sacrifices, your tithes and personal contributions, your votive and freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and flocks.
7 mangerete qui, dinanzi al Signore vostro Dio, e gioirete voi e le vostre famiglie per ogni impresa delle vostre mani in cui il Signore tuo Dio ti avrà benedetto.	7 There, too, before the LORD, your God, you and your families shall eat and make merry over all your undertakings, because the LORD, your God, has blessed you.
8 Non farete, come facciamo qui oggi, ciascuno ciò ch'è giusto ai propri occhi,	8 You shall not do as we are now doing; here, everyone does what seems right to himself,
9 poiché ancora non siete entrati nel riposo e nell'eredità che il Signore vostro Dio vi dona.	9 since you have not yet reached your resting place, the heritage which the LORD, your God, will give you.
10 Voi attraverserete il Giordano e abiterete nella terra che il Signore vostro Dio vi assegna in eredità; vi darà tranquillità da tutti i nemici che vi circondano e abiterete in sicurezza.	10 But after you have crossed the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you as a heritage, when he has given you rest from all your enemies round about and you live there in security,
11 Nel luogo che il Signore vostro Dio sceglierà per far dimorare il suo nome, ivi porterete tutto ciò che io oggi vi prescrivo: i vostri olocausti, i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime, il dono delle vostre mani e tutte le cose scelte che avete promesso in voto al Signore;	11 then to the place which the LORD, your God, chooses as the dwelling place for his name you shall bring all the offerings I command you: your holocausts and sacrifices, your tithes and personal contributions, and every special offering you have vowed to the LORD.
12 gioirete al cospetto del Signore vostro Dio, voi, i vostri figli e le vostre figlie, i vostri servi e le vostre serve, il levita che si trova entro le vostre porte, poiché questi non ha né parte né eredità con voi.	12 You shall make merry before the LORD, your God, with your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, as well as with the Levite who belongs to your community but has no share of his own in your heritage.
13 Guàrdati dall'offrire i tuoi olocausti in ogni luogo che vedi;	13 Take care not to offer up your holocausts in any place you fancy,
14 solo nel luogo che il Signore sceglierà in una delle tue tribù, là offrirai i tuoi olocausti e là eseguirai quanto ti prescrivo.	14 but offer them up in the place which the LORD chooses from among your tribes; there you shall make whatever offerings I enjoin upon you.
15 Tuttavia ogni volta che tu lo desideri potrai immolare e mangiare carne in ciascuna delle tue città, secondo che la benedizione del Signore ti avrà concesso. Ne potranno mangiare chi è impuro e chi è puro, come se fosse gazzella e cervo.	15 "However, in any of your communities you may slaughter and eat to your heart's desire as much meat as the LORD, your God, has blessed you with; and the unclean as well as the clean may eat it, as they do the gazelle or the deer.
16 Però non mangerete il sangue; lo spanderete sulla terra come l'acqua.	16 Only, you shall not partake of the blood, but must pour it out on the ground like water.
17 Non potrai mangiare nelle tue città la decima del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto e del tuo olio, i primogeniti del tuo bestiame grosso e del tuo bestiame minuto, niente di ciò che hai promesso in voto, né le tue offerte spontanee né il dono delle tue mani;	17 Moreover, you shall not, in your own communities, partake of your tithe of grain or wine or oil, of the first-born of your herd or flock, of any offering you have vowed, of your freewill offerings, or of your personal contributions.
18 ma le mangerai al cospetto del Signore tuo Dio nel luogo che il Signore tuo Dio sceglierà: tu, tuo figlio e tua figlia, il tuo servo e la tua serva, il levita che si trova entro le tue porte, e gioirai al cospetto del Signore tuo Dio per ogni opera delle tue mani.	18 These you must eat before the LORD, your God, in the place he chooses, along with your son and daughter, your male and female slave, and the Levite who belongs to your community; and there, before the LORD, you shall make merry over all your undertakings.
19 Guàrdati dal trascurare il levita per tutti i giorni in cui vivrai sul tuo suolo.	19 Take care, also, that you do not neglect the Levite as long as you live in the land.
20 Quando il Signore tuo Dio avrà ampliato i tuoi confini, come ti ha detto, e tu dirai: "Mangerò carne", poiché la tua gola desidera mangiare carne, secondo il desiderio della tua gola mangerai carne.	20 "After the LORD, your God, has enlarged your territory, as he promised you, when you wish meat for food, you may eat it at will, to your heart's desire;
21 Se il luogo dove il Signore tuo Dio ha scelto di porre il suo nome è distante da te, immolerai del tuo bestiame grosso e del tuo bestiame minuto che il Signore ti avrà dato nel modo che ti ho prescritto; ne mangerai tra le tue porte secondo ogni desiderio della tua gola;	21 and if the place which the LORD, your God, chooses for the abode of his name is too far, you may slaughter in the manner I have told you any of your herd or flock that the LORD has given you, and eat it to your heart's desire in your own community.
22 però come si mangia la gazzella e il cervo ne mangerai; ne mangeranno ugualmente chi è impuro e chi è puro.	22 You may eat it as you would the gazelle or the deer: the unclean and the clean eating it alike.
23 Però sii fermo, non mangiare il sangue, poiché il sangue è la vita, e non mangerai la vita con la carne.	23 But make sure that you do not partake of the blood; for blood is life, and you shall not consume this seat of life with the flesh.
24 Non lo mangerai, lo spanderai sulla terra come l'acqua.	24 Do not partake of the blood, therefore, but pour it out on the ground like water.
25 Non lo mangerai, perché sia felice tu e i tuoi figli dopo di te, perché hai compiuto quanto è giusto agli occhi del Signore.	25 Abstain from it, that you and your children after you may prosper for doing what is right in the sight of the LORD.
26 Tuttavia prenderai le tue cose sacre e i tuoi voti e li porterai nel luogo che il Signore sceglierà,	26 However, any sacred gifts or votive offerings that you may have, you shall bring with you to the place which the LORD chooses,
27 e farai i tuoi olocausti della carne e del sangue sull'altare del Signore tuo Dio: il sangue dei tuoi sacrifici sarà sparso sull'altare del Signore tuo Dio e ne mangerai la carne.	27 and there you must offer both the flesh and the blood of your holocausts on the altar of the LORD, your God; of your other sacrifices the blood indeed must be poured out against the altar of the LORD, your God, but their flesh may be eaten.
28 Osserva e pratica tutte queste cose che ti prescrivo, perché siate felici tu e i tuoi figli dopo di te per sempre, perché hai compiuto quanto è bene e giusto agli occhi del Signore tuo Dio.	28 Be careful to heed all these commandments I enjoin on you, that you and your descendants may always prosper for doing what is good and right in the sight of the LORD, your God.
29 Quando il Signore tuo Dio avrà fatto scomparire le nazioni presso le quali tu vai, spossessandole davanti a te, e le avrai conquistate e abiterai nella loro terra,	29 "When the LORD, your God, removes the nations from your way as you advance to dispossess them, be on your guard! Otherwise, once they have been wiped out before you and you have replaced them and are settled in their land,
30 guàrdati dal lasciarti ingannare seguendo il loro esempio, dopo che furono annientate dinanzi a te; non ricercare i loro dèi dicendo: "Come servivano queste nazioni i loro dèi? Anch'io farò così".	30 you will be lured into following them. Do not inquire regarding their gods, 'How did these nations worship their gods? I, too, would do the same.'
31 Non agirai così verso il Signore tuo Dio, perché essi hanno fatto per i loro dèi quanto è in abominio e in odio al Signore: hanno bruciato nel fuoco perfino i loro figli e le loro figlie, in onore dei loro dèi.	31 You shall not thus worship the LORD, your God, because they offered to their gods every abomination that the LORD detests, even burning their sons and daughters to their gods.
