1 Concerning other things, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. It is certainly not tiresome for me to write the same things to you, but for you, it is not necessary.	1 Au reste, mes frères, réjouissez-vous dans le Seigneur. Vous écrire les mêmes choses ne m'est pas pénible, et cela est avantageux pour vous.
2 Beware of dogs; beware of those who work evil; beware of those who are divisive.	2 Prenez garde aux chiens, prenez garde aux mauvais ouvriers, prenez garde aux faux circoncis.
3 For we are the circumcised, we who serve God in the Spirit and who glory in Christ Jesus, having no confidence in the flesh.	3 Car c'est nous qui sommes les vrais circoncis, nous qui servons Dieu en esprit, et qui nous glorifions en Jésus-Christ, et qui ne mettons pas notre confiance dans la chair.
4 Nevertheless, I might have confidence also in the flesh, for if anyone else seems to have confidence in the flesh, more so do I.	4 Ce n'est pas que je ne puisse aussi mettre ma confiance dans la chair. Si un autre croit pouvoir se confier dans la chair, je le puis bien davantage, moi,
5 For I was circumcised on the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, from the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew among Hebrews. According to the law, I was a Pharisee;	5 circoncis le huitième jour, de la race d'Israël, de la tribu de Benjamin, né Hébreu et d'Hébreux; pour ce qui est de la loi, pharisien;
6 according to zeal, I persecuted the Church of God; according to the justice that is in the law, I lived without blame.	6 pour ce qui est du zèle, persécuteur de l'Eglise; pour ce qui est de la justice de la loi, ayant été irréprochable.
7 But the things which had been to my gain, the same have I considered a loss, for the sake of Christ.	7 Mais les choses qui avaient été pour moi des gains, je les ai regardées comme une perte à cause du Christ.
8 Yet truly, I consider everything to be a loss, because of the preeminent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of everything, considering it all to be like dung, so that I may gain Christ,	8 Et même je regarde toutes choses comme une perte, à cause de l'excellence de la connaissance de Jésus-Christ mon Seigneur, pour Lequel j'ai renoncé à toutes choses, les regardant comme des ordures, afin de gagner le Christ,
9 and so that you may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, the justice within faith, which is of God.	9 et d'être trouvé en Lui, ayant, non pas ma justice, celle qui vient de la loi, mais celle qui vient de la foi au Christ Jésus, la justice qui vient de Dieu moyennant la foi,
10 So shall I know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his Passion, having been fashioned according to his death,	10 afin de Le connaître, Lui et la vertu de Sa résurrection, et la participation à Ses souffrances, en devenant conforme à Sa mort.
11 if, by some means, I might attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.	11 Pour parvenir, si je le puis, à la résurrection d'entre les morts.
12 It is not as though I have already received this, or were already perfect. But rather I pursue, so that by some means I might attain, that in which I have already been attained by Christ Jesus.	12 Ce n'est pas que j'aie déjà reçu le prix, ou que je sois déjà parfait; mais je le poursuis pour tâcher de le saisir, puisque j'ai été saisi moi-même par le Christ Jésus.
13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have already attained this. Instead, I do one thing: forgetting those things that are behind, and extending myself toward those things that are ahead,	13 Mes frères, je ne pense pas l'avoir atteint. Mais je fais une chose, oubliant ce qui est en arrière, et me portant vers ce qui est en avant,
14 I pursue the destination, the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.	14 Je cours vers le but, vers le prix auquel Dieu nous a appelés d'en haut dans le Christ Jésus.
15 Therefore, as many of us as are being perfected, let us agree about this. And if in anything you disagree, God will reveal this to you also.	15 Nous tous donc qui sommes parfaits, ayons ce sentiment; et si en quelque point vous pensez autrement, Dieu vous éclairera aussi là-dessus.
16 Yet truly, whatever point we reach, let us be of the same mind, and let us remain in the same rule.	16 Seulement, au point où nous sommes parvenus, ayons les mêmes sentiments et demeurons dans la même règle.
17 Be imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who are walking similarly, just as you have seen by our example.	17 Mes frères, soyez mes imitateurs, et regardez ceux qui marchent selon le modèle que vous avez en nous.
18 For many persons, about whom I have often told you (and now tell you, weeping,) are walking as enemies of the cross of Christ.	18 Car il y en a beaucoup, dont je vous ai souvent parlé, et dont je vous parle encore maintenant avec larmes, qui marchent en ennemis de la Croix du Christ.
19 Their end is destruction; their god is their belly; and their glory is in their shame: for they are immersed in earthly things.	19 Leur fin sera la perdition; ils ont pour dieu leur ventre, ils mettent leur gloire dans ce qui est leur honte, et leurs pensées sont pour la terre.
20 But our way of life is in heaven. And from heaven, too, we await the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ,	20 Quant à nous, notre vie est dans le Ciel, d'où nous attendons comme sauveur notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ,
21 who will transform the body of our lowliness, according to the form of the body of his glory, by means of that power by which he is even able to subject all things to himself.	21 qui transformera notre corps d'humiliation, en le rendant semblable à Son corps glorieux, par le pouvoir qu'Il a de S'assujettir toutes choses.
