1 And again, he entered into the synagogue. And there was a man there who had a withered hand.	1 Jésus entra de nouveau dans la synagogue, et il s'y trouvait un homme qui avait une main desséchée.
2 And they observed him, to see if he would cure on the Sabbaths, so that they might accuse him.	2 Et ils l'observaient, pour voir s'il le guérirait le jour du sabbat, afin de l'accuser.
3 And he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up in the middle.”	3 Et il dit à l'homme qui avait une main desséchée : Lève-toi, là au milieu.
4 And he said to them: “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbaths, or to do evil, to give health to a life, or to destroy?” But they remained silent.	4 Puis il leur dit : Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou du mal ? de sauver la vie ou de l'ôter ? Mais ils se taisaient.
5 And looking around at them with anger, being very saddened over the blindness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Extend your hand.” And he extended it, and his hand was restored to him.	5 Alors, promenant sur eux ses regards avec colère, attristé de l'aveuglement de leur cœur, il dit à l'homme : Etends ta main. Il l'étendit, et sa main lui fut rendue saine.
6 Then the Pharisees, going out, immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, as to how they might destroy him.	6 Les pharisiens, étant sortis, tinrent aussitôt conseil contre lui avec les hérodiens, sur les moyens de le perdre.
7 But Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea. And a great crowd followed him from Galilee and Judea,	7 Mais Jésus se retira avec ses disciples vers la mer, et une foule nombreuse le suivit, de la Galilée, et de la Judée,
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and across the Jordan. And those around Tyre and Sidon, upon hearing what he was doing, came to him in a great multitude.	8 et de Jérusalem, et de l'Idumée, et d'au-delà du Jourdain ; et ceux des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, ayant appris ce qu'il faisait, vinrent en grand nombre auprès de lui.
9 And he told his disciples that a small boat would be useful to him, because of the crowd, lest they press upon him.	9 Et il dit à ses disciples de lui tenir prête une barque, à cause de la foule, pour qu'il n'en fût pas accablé.
10 For he healed so many, that as many of them as had wounds would rush toward him in order to touch him.	10 Car, comme il en guérissait beaucoup, tous ceux qui avaient quelque mal se jetaient sur lui, pour le toucher.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell prostrate before him. And they cried out, saying,	11 Et les esprits impurs, quand ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui et criaient, en disant :
12 “You are the Son of God.” And he strongly admonished them, lest they make him known.	12 Vous êtes le Fils de Dieu. Et il leur défendait, avec de sévères menaces, de le faire connaître.
13 And ascending onto a mountain, he called to himself those whom he willed, and they came to him.	13 Il monta ensuite sur une montagne, et il appela à lui ceux que lui-même voulut ; et ils vinrent auprès de lui.
14 And he acted so that the twelve would be with him, and so that he might send them out to preach.	14 Il en établit douze, pour les avoir avec lui et pour les envoyer prêcher.
15 And he gave them authority to cure infirmities, and to cast out demons:	15 Et il leur donna le pouvoir de guérir les maladies et de chasser les démons.
16 and he imposed on Simon the name Peter;	16 C'étaient : Simon, auquel il donna le nom de Pierre ;
17 and also he imposed on James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, the name ‘Boanerges,’ that is, ‘Sons of Thunder;’	17 Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, qu'il nomma Boanergès, c'est-à-dire, Fils du tonnerre ;
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite,	18 André, Philippe, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques fils d'Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Cananéen,
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.	19 et Judas Iscariote qui le trahit.
20 And they went to a house, and the crowd gathered together again, so much so that they were not even able to eat bread.	20 Ils vinrent dans la maison, et la foule s'y rassembla de nouveau, de sorte qu'il ne pouvait pas même manger du pain.
21 And when his own had heard of it, they went out to take hold of him. For they said: “Because he has gone mad.”	21 Ses proches, ayant appris cela, vinrent pour se saisir de lui ; car ils disaient : Il a perdu l'esprit.
22 And the scribes who had descended from Jerusalem said, “Because he has Beelzebub, and because by the prince of demons does he cast out demons.”	22 Et les scribes qui étaient descendus de Jérusalem disaient : Il est possédé de Béelzébub, et c'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons.
23 And having called them together, he spoke to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?	23 Jésus, les ayant appelés auprès de lui, leur disait en paraboles : Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan ?
24 For if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand.	24 Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne peut subsister.
25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house is not able to stand.	25 Et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne peut subsister.
26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, he would be divided, and he would not be able to stand; instead he reaches the end.	26 Si donc Satan se soulève contre lui-même, il est divisé, et il ne pourra subsister, mais sa puissance prendra fin.
27 No one is able to plunder the goods of a strong man, having entered into the house, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he shall plunder his house.	27 Personne ne peut entrer dans la maison d'un homme fort et piller ses biens si, auparavant, il ne lie cet homme fort ; alors il pillera sa maison.
28 Amen I say to you, that all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies by which they will have blasphemed.	28 En vérité, je vous le dis, tous les péchés seront remis aux enfants des hommes, ainsi que les blasphèmes qu'ils auront proférés ;
29 But he who will have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit shall not have forgiveness in eternity; instead he shall be guilty of an eternal offense.”	29 mais celui qui aura blasphémé contre l'Esprit-Saint n'obtiendra jamais de pardon, et il sera coupable d'un péché éternel.
30 For they said: “He has an unclean spirit.”	30 Car ils disaient : Il est possédé d'un esprit impur.
31 And his mother and brothers arrived. And standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.	31 Cependant sa mère et ses frères survinrent, et se tenant dehors, ils l'envoyèrent appeler.
32 And the crowd was sitting around him. And they said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.”	32 Or, la foule était assise autour de lui ; et on lui dit : Voici que votre mère et vos frères sont dehors, et vous demandent.
33 And responding to them, he said, “Who is my mother and my brothers?”	33 Et il leur répondit : Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères ?
34 And looking around at those who were sitting all around him, he said: “Behold, my mother and my brothers.	34 Et promenant ses regards sur ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui, il dit : Voici ma mère et mes frères.
35 For whoever has done the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister and mother.”	35 Car quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma sœur, et ma mère.
