Psalms 141

1 The understanding of David. A prayer, when he was in the cave.	1 Psalmus. David. Domine, clamavi ad te, ad me festina; intende voci meae, cum clamo ad te.
2 With my voice, I cried out to the Lord. With my voice, I made supplication to the Lord.	2 Dirigatur oratio mea sicut incensum in conspectu tuo, elevatio manuum mearum ut sacrificium vespertinum. -
3 In his sight, I pour out my prayer, and before him, I declare my tribulation.	3 Pone, Domine, custodiam ori meo et vigiliam ad ostium labiorum meorum.
4 Though my spirit may become faint within me, even then, you have known my paths. Along this way, which I have been walking, they have hidden a snare for me.	4 Non declines cor meum in verbum malitiae ad machinandas machinationes in impietate cum hominibus operantibus iniquitatem; et non comedam ex deliciis eorum.
5 I considered toward the right, and I looked, but there was no one who would know me. Flight has perished before me, and there is no one who has concern for my soul.	5 Percutiat me iustus in misericordia et increpet me; oleum autem peccatoris non impinguet caput meum, quoniam adhuc et oratio mea in malitiis eorum.
6 I cried out to you, O Lord. I said: You are my hope, my portion in the land of the living.	6 Deiecti in manus duras iudicum eorum, audient verba mea, quoniam suavia erant.
7 Attend to my supplication. For I have been humbled exceedingly. Free me from my persecutors, for they have been fortified against me.	7 Sicut frusta dolantis et dirumpentis in terra, dissipata sunt ossa eorum ad fauces inferni.
8 Lead my soul out of confinement in order to confess your name. The just are waiting for me, until you repay me.	8 Quia ad te, Domine, Domine, oculi mei; ad te confugi, non effundas animam meam.
	9 Custodi me a laqueo, quem statuerunt mihi, et a scandalis operantium iniquitatem.
	10 Cadent in retiacula sua peccatores simul, ego autem ultra pertranseam.
