Psalms 114

1 Alleluia. I have loved: therefore, the Lord will heed the voice of my prayer.	1 Aleluia. Quando Israel saiu do Egito, e a casa de Jacó se apartou de um povo bárbaro,
2 For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him.	2 a terra de Judá tornou-se o santuário do Senhor, e Israel seu reino.
3 The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow.	3 O mar, à vista disso, fugiu, o Jordão volveu atrás.
4 And so, I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, free my soul.	4 Os montes saltaram como carneiros; as colinas, como cordeiros.
5 Merciful is the Lord, and just. And our God is compassionate.	5 Que tens, ó mar, para assim fugires? E tu, Jordão, para retrocederes para a tua fonte?
6 The Lord is the keeper of little ones. I was humbled, and he freed me.	6 Ó montes, por que saltastes como carneiros, e vós, colinas, como cordeiros?
7 Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you.	7 Ante a face de Deus, treme, ó terra,
8 For he has rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from slipping.	8 por quem o rochedo se mudou em lençol de água, e a pedra em fonte de água viva.
9 I will please the Lord in the land of the living.
