Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	Le Sainte Bible Fillion
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Il n'y a donc maintenant aucune condamnation pour ceux qui sont en Jésus-Christ, qui ne marchent pas selon la chair.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 En effet, la loi de l'esprit de vie en Jésus-Christ m'a délivré de la loi du péché et de la mort.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Car, chose impossible à la loi parce qu'elle était affaiblie par la chair, Dieu, en envoyant Son propre Fils dans une chair semblable à celle du péché, a condamné à cause du péché le péché dans la chair,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 afin que la justice de la loi fût accomplie en nous, qui ne marchons pas selon la chair, mais selon l'esprit.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Car ceux qui sont selon la chair goûtent les choses de la chair; mais ceux qui sont selon l'esprit goûtent les choses de l'esprit.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Or la prudence de la chair c'est la mort, tandis que la prudence de l'esprit c'est la vie et la paix.
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 Car la sagesse de la chair est ennemie de Dieu, parce qu'elle n'est pas soumise à la loi de Dieu, et elle ne peut pas l'être.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Ceux donc qui sont dans la chair ne peuvent pas plaire à Dieu.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Pour vous, vous n'êtes pas dans la chair, mais dans l'esprit; si toutefois l'Esprit de Dieu habite en vous. Car si quelqu'un n'a pas l'Esprit du Christ, il ne Lui appartient pas.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Mais si le Christ est en vous, le corps, il est vrai, est mort à cause du péché; mais l'esprit est vivant à cause de la justice.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Et si l'Esprit de Celui qui a ressuscité Jésus d'entre les morts habite en vous, Celui qui a ressuscité Jésus-Christ d'entre les morts donnera aussi la vie à vos corps mortels, par Son Esprit qui habite en vous.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Ainsi, mes frères, nous ne sommes point redevables à la chair, pour vivre selon la chair.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Car si vous vivez selon la chair, vous mourrez; mais si par l'Esprit vous faites mourir les oeuvres de la chair, vous vivrez.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Car tous ceux qui sont conduits par l'Esprit de Dieu sont enfants de Dieu.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Aussi vous n'avez pas reçu l'esprit de servitude, pour être encore dans la crainte; mais vous avez reçu l'Esprit de l'adoption des enfants, par lequel nous crions: Abba! Père!
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 L'Esprit Lui-même rend témoignage à notre esprit que nous sommes enfants de Dieu.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 Et si nous sommes enfants, nous sommes aussi héritiers: héritiers de Dieu, et cohéritiers du Christ, pourvu toutefois que nous souffrions avec Lui, afin d'être glorifiés avec Lui.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Car j'estime que les souffrances du temps présent n'ont pas de proportion avec la gloire à venir qui sera manifestée en nous.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Aussi la créature attend-elle d'une vive attente la manifestation des enfants de Dieu.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Car la créature a été assujettie à la vanité, non pas volontairement, mais à cause de Celui qui l'a assujettie avec espérance;
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 en effet, la créature aussi sera elle-même délivrée de cet asservissement à la corruption, pour participer à la glorieuse liberté des enfants de Dieu.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Car nous savons que toute créature gémit et est dans le travail de l'enfantement jusqu'à cette heure;
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 Et non seulement elle, mais nous aussi, qui avons les prémices de l'Esprit, nous aussi nous gémissons en nous-mêmes, attendant l'adoption des enfants de Dieu, la rédemption de notre corps.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Car c'est en espérance que nous sommes sauvés. Or l'espérance que l'on voit n'est plus de l'espérance; car ce qu'on voit, peut-on l'espérer?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Mais si nous espérons ce que nous ne voyons pas, nous l'attendons avec patience.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 De même aussi l'Esprit vient en aide à notre faiblesse: car nous ne savons pas ce que nous devons demander dans nos prières; mais l'Esprit Lui-même intercède pour nous par des gémissements ineffables.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 Et Celui qui scrute les coeurs connaît les désirs de l'Esprit, parce que c'est selon Dieu qu'Il intercède pour les saints.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Or nous savons que toutes choses coopèrent au bien de ceux qui aiment Dieu, de ceux qui sont appelés saints selon Son décret.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Car ceux qu'Il a connus par Sa prescience, Il les a aussi prédestinés à devenir conformes à l'image de Son Fils, afin qu'Il fut Lui-même le Premier-né entre des frères nombreux.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 Et ceux qu'Il a prédestinés, Il les a aussi appelés; et ceux qu'Il a appelés, Il les a aussi justifiés; et ceux qu'Il a justifiés, Il les a aussi glorifiés.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Que dirons-nous donc après cela? Si Dieu est pour nous, qui sera contre nous?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Lui qui n'a pas épargné Son propre Fils, mais qui L'a livré pour nous tous, comment ne nous donnera-t-Il pas aussi toutes choses avec Lui?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Qui accusera les élus de Dieu? C'est Dieu qui justifie.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Qui les condamnera? C'est le Christ Jésus qui est mort pour eux; bien plus, qui est ressuscité, qui est à la droite de Dieu, et qui intercède pour nous.
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Qui donc nous séparera de l'amour du Christ? Sera-ce la tribulation, ou l'angoisse, ou la faim, ou la nudité, ou le péril, ou la persécution, ou le glaive?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 (Selon qu'il est écrit: A cause de vous, nous sommes mis à mort tout le jour; on nous regarde comme des brebis destinées à la boucherie.)
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Mais en tout cela nous demeurons victorieux, par Celui qui nous a aimés.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Car je suis certain que ni la mort, ni la vie, ni les anges, ni les principautés, ni les puissances, ni les choses présentes, ni les choses à venir, ni la violence,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 ni ce qu'il y a de plus élevé, ni ce qu'il y a de plus profond, ni aucune autre créature, ne pourra nous séparer de l'amour de Dieu, manifesté dans le Christ Jésus notre Seigneur.
