Hosea 6

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 Come, let us return to Yahweh. He has rent us and he wil heal us; he has struck us and he will bind upour wounds;	1 Eles, vendo-se na sua angústia, recorrerão a mim. Vinde (dirão), voltemos para o Senhor,
2 after two days he wil revive us, on the third day he wil raise us up and we shal live in his presence.	2 porque (assim, como) nos dilacerou, (também) nos sarará; ele nos feriu, ele nos curará.
3 Let us know, let us strive to know Yahweh; that he will come is as certain as the dawn. He wil come tous like a shower, like the rain of springtime to the earth.	3 Dar-nos-á novamente a vida em dois dias; ao terceiro dia levantar-nos-á, e viveremos na sua presença. Entraremos na ciência do Senhor, segui-lo-emos a fim de o conhecer. A sua vinda está preparada como a da aurora, e ele descerá sobre nós como a chuva, como a chuva da primavera que costuma vir sobre a terra.
4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? For your love is like morningmist, like the dew that quickly disappears.	4 Que te farei, Efraim? Que te farei, Judá? A vossa caridade é como uma nuvem da manhã, como o orvalho transitório da manhã.
5 This is why I have hacked them to pieces by means of the prophets, why I have kil ed them with wordsfrom my mouth, why my sentence wil blaze forth like the dawn-	5 Por isso é que os tratei duramente pelos profetas, que os matei pelas palavras da minha boca; os juízos proferidos contra ti, são como a luz que se levanta.
6 for faithful love is what pleases me, not sacrifice; knowledge of God, not burnt offerings.	6 Porque o que eu quero é o amor, e não os sacrifícios, o conhecimento de Deus mais que os holocaustos.
7 But they have broken the covenant at Adam, there they have betrayed me.	7 Mas eles, como homens (inconstantes), violaram a aliança (que tinham feito comigo), atraiçoaram-me.
8 Gilead is a city of evil-doers, ful of bloody footprints.	8 Galaad é (agora) uma cidade de malfeitores, toda inundada de sangue.
9 Like so many robbers in ambush, a gang of priests commits murder on the road to Shechem- whatinfamous behaviour!	9 Como bandidos que assaltam viandantes, assim os sacerdotes no caminho de Siquém assassinam e cometem crimes.
10 At Bethel I have seen a horrible thing; there Ephraim plays the whore, Israel is befouled.	10 Vi na casa de Israel coisas horríveis; ali se acham as prostituições de Efraim, ali se manchou Israel.
11 For you too, Judah, a harvest is in store, when I restore my people's fortunes.	11 Mas para ti também, ó Judá, está preparada uma ceifa (de castigos), quando eu restaurar o meu povo.
