¹ Al eluia! Praise the name of Yahweh, you who serve Yahweh, praise him,	¹ ALLELUIA. Lodate il Nome del Signore; Lodatelo, voi servitori del Signore;
² serving in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.	² Che state nella Casa del Signore, Ne’ cortili della Casa del nostro Dio.
³ Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good, make music for his name -- it brings joy-	³ Lodate il Signore; perciocchè il Signore è buono; Salmeggiate al suo Nome, perciocchè è amabile.
⁴ for Yahweh has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.	⁴ Conciossiachè il Signore si abbia eletto Giacobbe Ed Israele per suo tesoro riposto
⁵ For I know that Yahweh is great, our Lord is above al gods.	⁵ Certo io conosco che il Signore è grande, E che il nostro Signore è maggiore di tutti gl’iddii.
⁶ Yahweh does whatever he pleases in heaven, on earth, in the waters and al the depths.	⁶ Il Signore fa tutto ciò che gli piace In cielo ed in terra; Ne’ mari, ed in tutti gli abissi.
⁷ He summons up clouds from the borders of earth, sends rain with lightning-flashes, and brings thewind out of his storehouse.	⁷ Egli fa salire i vapori dall’estremità dalle terra; Egli fa i lampi per la pioggia; Egli trae fuori il vento da’ suoi tesori.
⁸ He struck the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,	⁸ Egli è quel che percosse i primogeniti di Egitto, Così degli uomini, come degli animali.

¹⁰ He struck down many nations, he slaughtered mighty kings,	¹⁰ Che percosse nazioni grandi, Ed uccise re potenti;
¹¹ Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and al the kingdoms of Canaan.	¹¹ Sihon, re degli Amorrei, E Og, re di Basan, E i re di tutti i regni di Canaan;
¹² He gave their land as a birthright, a birthright to his people Israel.	¹² E diede i lor paesi per eredità, Per eredità ad Israele, suo popolo.
¹³ Yahweh, your name endures for ever, Yahweh, your memory is fresh from age to age.	¹³ O Signore, il tuo Nome è in eterno; O Signore, la memoria di te è per ogni età.
¹⁴ For Yahweh vindicates his people, feels compassion for his servants.	¹⁴ Quando il Signore avrà fatti i suoi giudicii sopra il suo popolo, Egli si pentirà per amor de’ suoi servitori
¹⁵ The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands.	¹⁵ Gl’idoli delle genti sono argento ed oro, Opera di mani d’uomini;
¹⁶ These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,	¹⁶ Hanno bocca, e non parlano; Hanno occhi, e non veggono;
¹⁷ have ears but hear nothing, and they have no breath in their mouths.	¹⁷ Hanno orecchi, e non odono; Ed anche non hanno fiato alcuno nella lor bocca.
¹⁸ Their makers wil end up like them, everyone who relies on them.	¹⁸ Simili ad essi sieno quelli che li fanno; Chiunque in essi si confida.
¹⁹ House of Israel, bless Yahweh, House of Aaron, bless Yahweh,	¹⁹ Casa d’Israele, benedite il Signore; Casa d’Aaronne, benedite il Signore.
²⁰ House of Levi, bless Yahweh, you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.	²⁰ Casa di Levi, benedite il Signore; Voi che temete il Signore, beneditelo.
²¹ Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, he who dwel s in Jerusalem!	²¹ Benedetto sia da Sion il Signore, Che abita in Gerusalemme. Alleluia
