1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.	1 Palavra que foi dirigida a Jeremias pelo Senhor, no décimo ano de Sedecias, rei de Judá, que corresponde ao ano décimo oitavo de Nabucodonosor.
2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.	2 Cercava então o exército do rei de Babilônia Jerusalém, e o profeta Jeremias estava recluso no átrio da guarda da casa do rei de Judá.
3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;	3 De facto, Sedecias, rei de Judá, tinha-o mandado prender, dizendo: Por que vaticinas desta forma: Isto diz o Senhor: Eis que entregarei esta cidade nas mãos do rei de Babilônia, que a tomará;
4 And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;	4 e Sedecias, rei de Judá, não escapará da mão dos Caldeus, mas será entregue nas mãos do rei de Babilônia, e falará com ele boca a boca, e os seus olhos verão os olhos dele;
5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?	5 e Sedecias será levado por ele para Babilônia, e ali estará até que eu o visite, diz o Senhor; e, se pelejardes contra os Caldeus, não tereis bom sucesso?
6 And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	6 Jeremias, pois, (estando preso) disse: Foi-me dirigida a palavra do Senhor, nos seguintes termos:
7 Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.	7 Eis que teu primo Hanameel, filho de Selum, virá ter contigo, dizendo; Compra o meu campo, que está em Anatoth, porque te compete a ti comprá-lo por seres o parente mais próximo.
8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.	8 E veio ter comigo Hanameel, filho de meu tio, conforme a palavra do Senhor, ao átrio da guarda, e disse-me: Compra-me o campo que tenho em Anatoth, na terra de Benjamim, porque compete-te a ti por direito de herança o possuí-lo, visto seres o parente mais próximo. Reconheci que era palavra do Senhor,
9 And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.	9 e comprei o campo a Hanameel, filho de meu tio, que está em Anatoth. e pesei-lhe por ele dezassete siclos de prata.
10 And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.	10 Fiz uma escritura de contrato, selei-a, chamei testemunhas e pesei o dinheiro numa balança.
11 So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:	11 E tomei a escritura de compra selada com as estipulações do contrato e as cláusulas, assim como a sua cópia aberta.
12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.	12 Entreguei tudo a Baruch, filho de Neri, filho de Maasias, em presença de Hanameel, meu primo, em presença das testemunhas que tinham assinado a escritura de compra, e em presença de todos os Judeus, que estavam no átrio da guarda.
13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,	13 E dei ordem a Baruch, diante deles, dizendo:
14 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.	14 Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estes documentos, este exemplar da escritura de compra, cerrado, e este outro que está aberto, e mete-os numa vasilha de barro, para que se possam conservar muito tempo.
15 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.	15 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se hão-de comprar casas, campos e vinhas, nesta terra.
16 Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,	16 Roguei ao Senhor, depois que entreguei a escritura de compra a Baruch, filho de Néria, assim:
17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:	17 Ah! Senhor Deus: Foste tu que fizeste o céu e a terra com o teu grande poder e com o teu braço estendido. Nada te é impossível.
18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,	18 Usas de misericórdia com milhares, e lanças o castigo da iniquidade dos pais no íntimo de seus filhos, depois deles. Ó Deus grande e poderoso, Senhor dos exércitos é o teu nome.
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:	19 Grande em teus conselhos, potente nas tuas obras, os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos de Adão, para retribuíres a cada um segundo as suas vias, segundo os frutos do seu proceder.
20 Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;	20 Fizeste sinais e prodígios na terra do Egito, e, até ao dia de hoje, em Israel e entre os homens. Granjeaste um (grande) nome como tens hoje.
21 And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;	21 Tiraste o teu povo de Israel da terra do Egito com sinais e prodígios, com mão forte e braço estendido, e com grande terror.
22 And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;	22 Depois destes-lhes esta terra, como o tinhas jurado a seus pais, uma terra que mana leite e mel.
23 And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:	23 E eles entraram e tomaram posse dela, mas não obedeceram à tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei: não cumpriram nada do que lhes mandaste que fizessem. (Por isso) aconteceram-lhes todos estes males.
24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.	24 Eis que estão levantadas as plataformas de ataque contra a cidade para ser tomada. Vai ser entregue nas mãos dos atacantes Caldeus, pela espada, pela fome e pela peste. Todas as coisas que disseste (ó Senhor), tudo acontece, como tu mesmo o estás vendo.
25 And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.	25 E tu, Senhor Deus, (não obstante) dizes-me: Compra um campo por dinheiro e toma testemunhas - quando a cidade é entregue nas mãos dos Caldeus!
26 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,	26 Foi dirigida a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, nos termos seguintes:
27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?	27 Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de toda a carne; haverá pois coisa alguma que me seja impossível?
28 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:	28 Portanto, isto diz o Senhor: Vou entregar esta cidade nas mãos dos Caldeus, e nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, que a tomará.
29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.	29 Virão os Caldeus pelejar contra esta cidade, entrarão nela e lhe porão fogo; queimarão as casas em cujos terraços sacrificavam a Baal e ofereciam a deuses estranhos libações, para me irritarem.
30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.	30 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá têm feito incessantemente o mal diante dos meus olhos desde a sua mocidade; os filhos de Israel, com efeito, nada fizeram senão irritar-me com as obras das suas mãos diz o Senhor.
31 For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,	31 Esta cidade tornou-se objecto do meu furor e da minha indignação, desde o dia em que a edificaram até hoje, em que a vou tirar da minha presença.
32 Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	32 por causa da maldade que os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá cometeram: (serão tirados da minha presença) eles e os seus reis, os seus grandes, os seus sacerdotes, os seus profetas, os varões de Judá e os habitantes de Jerusalém.
33 And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.	33 Voltaram para mim as costas e não o rosto, quando os ensinava infatigavelmente e os corrigia, não quiseram ouvir nem receber o ensino.
34 But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.	34 Puseram os seus ídolos na casa que tem o meu nome, para a profanarem.
35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.	35 Edificaram a Baal os altares que estão no Vale do Filho de Hinnom, para fazerem sacrifícios de seus filhos e de suas filhas a Moloch, coisa que nunca lhes mandei, nem me passou pelo pensamento, induzindo assim Judá a (um tão grande) pecado.
36 And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;	36 Agora, por causa disto, assim diz o Senhor Deus de Israel a esta cidade, da qual vos dizeis que será entregue nas mãos do rei de Babilônia pela espada, pela fome e pela peste:
37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:	37 Eis que os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os lancei no meu furor, na minha ira, na minha grande indignação; conduzi-los-ei a este lugar e farei que habitem nele sem temor.
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:	38 Serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:	39 Dar-lhe-ei um mesmo coração e um só caminho, para que me temam sempre, para seu bem e para bem de seus filhos depois deles.
40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.	40 Farei com eles uma aliança eterna e não deixarei de lhes fazer bem; infundirei o meu temor no seu coração, para que se não apartem de mim.
41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.	41 A minha alegria será fazer-lhes bem; estabelecê-los-ei nesta terra sòlidamente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.
42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.	42 Porque isto diz o Senhor: Assim como fiz vir sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim farei vir sobre eles todo o bem que lhes anuncio.
43 And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.	43 De novo serão possuídos (por seus donos) os campos nesta terra, da qual vós dizeis que está toda deserta, sem homens nem animais, entregue nas mãos dos Caldeus.
44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.	44 Os campos serão comprados por dinheiro e registados em escritura, pôr-se-lhes-á o selo, tomar-se-ão testemunhas, na terra de Benjamim, e nos arredores de Jerusalém, nas cidades de Judá, nas cidades das montanhas, nas cidades das planícies e nas cidades que estão ao meio-dia, porque farei voltar os seus cativos, diz o Senhor.
