1 Now concerning spiritual things, my brethren, I would not have you ignorant.	1 Pour ce qui concerne les dons spirituels, je ne veux pas, mes frères, que vous soyez dans l'ignorance.
2 You know that when you were heathens, you went to dumb idols, according as you were led.	2 Vous savez que, lorsque vous étiez païens, vous vous laissiez entraîner vers les idoles muettes, selon qu'on vous menait.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, saith Anathema to Jesus. And no man can say the Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Ghost.	3 C'est pourquoi je vous déclare que personne, parlant par l'Esprit de Dieu, ne dit anathème à Jésus; et personne ne peut dire: Seigneur Jésus, si ce n'est par l'Esprit-Saint.
4 Now there are diversities of graces, but the same Spirit;	4 Sans doute, il y a diversité de grâces; mais il n'y a qu'un même Esprit.
5 And there are diversities of ministries, but the same Lord;	5 Il y a diversité de ministères; mais il n'y qu'un même Seigneur.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but the same God, who worketh all in all.	6 Il y a aussi diversité d'opérations; mais il n'y a qu'un même Dieu, qui opère tout en tous.
7 And the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man unto profit.	7 Or la manifestation de l'Esprit est donnée à chacun pour l'utilité commune.
8 To one indeed, by the Spirit, is given the word of wisdom: and to another, the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;	8 En effet, à l'un est donnée par l'Esprit une parole de sagesse; à un autre, une parole de science, selon le même Esprit;
9 To another, faith in the same spirit; to another, the grace of healing in one Spirit;	9 à un autre, la foi, par le même Esprit; à un autre, la grâce des guérisons, par le même Esprit;
10 To another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the discerning of spirits; to another, diverse kinds of tongues; to another, interpretation of speeches.	10 à un autre, le don d'opérer des miracles; à un autre, la prophétie; à un autre, le discernement des esprits; à un autre, la diversité des langues; à un autre, l'interprétation des langues.
11 But all these things one and the same Spirit worketh, dividing to every one according as he will.	11 Or c'est un seul et même Esprit qui opère toutes ces choses, les distribuant à chacun comme Il veut.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members; and all the members of the body, whereas they are many, yet are one body, so also is Christ.	12 Car comme le corps est un et a beaucoup de membres, et comme tous les membres du corps, quoique nombreux, ne forment néanmoins qu'un seul corps: ainsi en est-il du Christ.
13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink.	13 En effet, nous avons tous été baptisés dans un seul Esprit, pour former un seul corps, soit Juifs, soit païens, soit esclaves, soit libres; et nous avons tous été abreuvés d'un seul Esprit.
14 For the body also is not one member, but many.	14 Ainsi le corps n'est pas un seul membre, mais il est composé de beaucoup de membres.
15 If the foot should say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ?	15 Si le pied disait: Puisque je ne suis pas une main, je ne suis pas du corps; est-ce que pour cela il ne serait point du corps?
16 And if the ear should say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ?	16 Et si l'oreille disait: Puisque je ne suis pas un oeil, je ne suis pas du corps; est-ce que pour cela elle ne serait point du corps?
17 If the whole body were the eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?	17 Si tout le corps était oeil, où serait l'ouïe? s'il était tout ouïe, où serait l'odorat?
18 But now God hath set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him.	18 Mais Dieu a disposé les membres dans le corps, chacun d'eux comme il a voulu.
19 And if they all were one member, where would be the body?	19 S'ils n'étaient tous qu'un seul membre, où serait le corps?
20 But now there are many members indeed, yet one body.	20 Mais maintenant il y a beaucoup de membres, et un seul corps.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand: I need not thy help; nor again the head to the feet: I have no need of you.	21 L'oeil ne peut pas dire à la main: Je n'ai pas besoin de ton aide; ni la tête dire aux pieds: Vous ne m'êtes pas nécessaires;
22 Yea, much more those that seem to be the more feeble members of the body, are more necessary.	22 Mais au contraire les membres du corps qui paraissent les plus faibles sont les plus nécessaires;
23 And such as we think to be the less honourable members of the body, about these we put more abundant honour; and those that are our uncomely parts, have more abundant comeliness.	23 et les membres du corps que nous regardons comme les plus vils, nous les entourons d'un plus grand honneur; et ceux qui sont honteux reçoivent le plus de respect.
24 But our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, giving to that which wanted the more abundant honour,	24 Ceux qui sont décents n'en ont pas besoin; mais Dieu a disposé le corps de manière à donner plus d'honneur à ce qui en manquait,
25 That there might be no schism in the body; but the members might be mutually careful one for another.	25 afin qu'il n'y ait pas de division dans le corps, mais que les membres aient également un soin réciproque les uns des autres.
26 And if one member suffer any thing, all the members suffer with it; or if one member glory, all the members rejoice with it.	26 Et si un membre souffre, tous les membres souffrent avec lui; ou si un membre est honoré, tous les membres s'en réjouissent avec lui.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members of member.	27 Or vous êtes le corps du Christ, et les membres d'un membre.
28 And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors; after that miracles; then the graces of healing, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches.	28 Ainsi Dieu a établi dans l'Eglise premièrement des Apôtres, secondement des prophètes, troisièment des docteurs; ensuite ceux qui font des miracles; puis ceux qui ont les dons de guérir, de secourir, de gouverner, de parler diverses langues, d'interpréter les langues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all doctors?	29 Tous sont-ils Apôtres? tous sont-ils prophètes? tous sont-ils docteurs?
30 Are all workers of miracles? Have all the grace of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?	30 tous font-ils des miracles? tous ont-ils la grâce de guérir? tous parlent-ils diverses langues? tous les interprètent-ils?
31 But be zealous for the better gifts. And I shew unto you yet a more excellent way.	31 Aspirez aux dons les meilleurs. Mais je vais vous montrer encore une voie plus excellente.
