1 Now these were the divisions of the sons of Aaron: The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.	1 Auch die Nachkommen Aarons waren in Abteilungen gegliedert. Die Söhne Aarons waren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.
2 But Nadab and Abiu died before their father, and had no children: so Eleazar, and Ithamar did the office of the priesthood.	2 Nadab und Abihu starben vor ihrem Vater. Da sie keine Söhne hatten, übernahmen Eleasar und Itamar das Priestertum.
3 And David distributed them, that is, Sadoc of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their courses and ministry.	3 David teilte sie gemeinsam mit Zadok, einem Nachkommen Eleasars, und mit Ahimelech, einem Nachkommen Itamars, in ihre Dienstklassen ein.
4 And there were found many more of the sons of Eleazar among the principal men, than of the sons of Ithamar. And he divided them so, that there were of the sons of Eleazar, sixteen chief men by their families: and of the sons of Ithamar eight by their families and houses.	4 Dabei ergab sich, dass bei den Nachkommen Eleasars mehr führende Männer waren als bei den Nachkommen Itamars. Man teilte daher den Nachkommen Eleasars sechzehn Oberhäupter von Großfamilien zu und den Nachkommen Itamars nur acht für ihre Großfamilien.
5 And he divided both the families one with the other by lot: for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.	5 Doch teilte man diese wie jene durch das Los ein; denn Fürsten des Heiligtums, Fürsten Gottes, waren sowohl unter den Nachkommen Eleasars wie auch unter den Nachkommen Itamars.
6 And Semeias the son of Nathanael the scribe a Levite, wrote them down before the king and the princes, and Sadoc the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the princes also of the priestly and Levitical families: one house, which was over the rest, of Eleazar: and another house, which had the rest under it, of Ithamar.	6 Der Schreiber Schemaja, der Sohn Netanels, ein Levit, schrieb sie auf im Beisein des Königs, der führenden Männer, des Priesters Zadok, Abjatars, des Sohnes Ahimelechs, sowie der Familienhäupter der Priester und Leviten. Jeweils zwei Großfamilien wurden aus der Linie Eleasars und eine aus der Linie Itamars ausgelost.
7 Now the first lot came forth to Joiarib, the second to Jedei,	7 Das erste Los fiel auf Jojarib, das zweite auf Jedaja,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,	8 das dritte auf Harim, das vierte auf Seorim,
9 The fifth to Melchia, the sixth to Maiman,	9 das fünfte auf Malkija, das sechste auf Mijamin,
10 The seventh to Accos, the eighth to Abia,	10 das siebte auf Koz, das achte auf Abija,
11 The ninth to Jesua, the tenth to Sechenia,	11 das neunte auf Jeschua, das zehnte auf Schechanja,
12 The eleventh to Eliasib, the twelfth to Jacim,	12 das elfte auf Eljaschib, das zwölfte auf Jakim,
13 The thirteenth to Hoppha, the fourteenth to Isbaab,	13 das dreizehnte auf Huppa, das vierzehnte auf Jeschebab,
14 The fifteenth to Belga, the sixteenth to Emmer,	14 das fünfzehnte auf Bilga, das sechzehnte auf Immer,
15 The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,	15 das siebzehnte auf Hesir, das achtzehnte auf Pizzez,
16 The nineteenth to Pheteia, the twentieth to Hezechiel,	16 das neunzehnte auf Petachja, das zwanzigste auf Jeheskel,
17 The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,	17 das einundzwanzigste auf Jachin, das zweiundzwanzigste auf Gamul,
18 The three and twentieth to Dalaiau, the four and twentieth to Maaziau.	18 das dreiundzwanzigste auf Delaja, das vierundzwanzigste auf Maasja.
19 These are their courses according to their ministries, to come into the house of the Lord, and according to their manner under the hand of Aaron their father: as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded.	19 Das waren ihre Dienstklassen, nach denen sie in das Haus des Herrn kommen mussten, wie es ihre Pflicht war, die sie von ihrem Vater Aaron übernommen hatten; so hatte es ihm der Herr, der Gott Israels, befohlen.
20 Now of the rest of the sons of Levi, there was of the sons of Amram, Subael: and of the sons of Subael, Jehedeia.	20 Zu den übrigen Leviten, und zwar zu den Söhnen Amrams, gehörte Schubaël, zu den Söhnen Schubaëls Jechdeja.
21 Also of the sons of Rohobia the chief Jesias.	21 Von Rehabja, und zwar von den Söhnen Rehabjas, war Jischija der erste.
22 And the son of Isaar Salemoth, and the son of Salemoth Jahath:	22 Zu den Nachkommen Jizhars gehörte Schelomit, zu den Söhnen Schelomits Jahat.
23 And his son Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaan the fourth.	23 Von den Söhnen Hebrons war Jerija der erste, Amarja der zweite, Jahasiël der dritte, Jekamam der vierte.
24 The son of Oziel, Micha: the son of Micha, Samir.	24 Der Sohn Usiëls war Micha. Zu den Söhnen Michas gehörte Schamir.
25 The brother of Micha, Jesia: and the son of Jesia, Zacharias.	25 Der Bruder Michas war Jischija. Zu den Söhnen Jischijas gehörte Secharja.
26 The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi: the son of Oziau: Benno.	26 Die Söhne Meraris waren Machli und Muschi. Der Sohn Jaasijas war Bani.
27 The son also of Merari: Oziau, and Seam, and Zacchur, and Hebri.	27 Meraris Nachkommen über Jaasija waren: Bani, Schoham, Sakkur und Ibri.
28 And the son of Moholi: Eleazar, who had no sons.	28 Zu Machli gehörten Eleasar, der keine Kinder hatte, und Kisch.
29 And the son of Cis, Jeramael.	29 Der Sohn des Kisch war Jerachmeel.
30 The sons of Musi: Moholi, Eder, and Jerimoth. These are the sons of Levi according to the houses of their families.	30 Die Söhne Muschis waren: Machli, Eder und Jerimot. - Das waren die Leviten nach ihren Großfamilien.
31 And they also cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Sadoc, and Ahimelech, and the princes of the priestly and Levitical families, both the elder and the younger. The lot divided all equally.	31 Auch sie warfen das Los wie ihre Brüder, die Söhne Aarons, im Beisein des Königs David, Zadoks und Ahimelechs sowie der Familienhäupter der Priester und Leviten, und zwar die Familien des Oberhauptes wie die seines jüngsten Bruders.
