1 Salmo di Davide, intorno a ciò ch’egli si contraffece davanti ad Abimelec; onde esso lo cacciò via, ed egli se ne andò IO benedirò il Signore in ogni tempo; La sua lode sarà sempre nella mia bocca.	1 Of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, who forced him to depart.
2 L’anima mia si glorierà nel Signore; Gli umili l’udiranno, e si rallegreranno.	2 I will bless the LORD at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth.
3 Magnificate meco il Signore, Ed esaltiamo tutti insieme il suo Nome.	3 My soul will glory in the LORD that the poor may hear and be glad.
4 Io ho cercato il Signore, ed egli mi ha risposto, E mi ha liberato da tutti i miei spaventi.	4 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
5 Quelli che hanno riguardato a lui sono stati illuminati, E le lor facce non sono state svergognate.	5 I sought the LORD, who answered me, delivered me from all my fears.
6 Questo povero afflitto ha gridato, e il Signore l’ha esaudito, E l’ha salvato da tutte le sue distrette.	6 Look to God that you may be radiant with joy and your faces may not blush for shame.
7 Gli Angeli del Signore sono accampati intorno a quelli che lo temono, E li liberano.	7 In my misfortune I called, the LORD heard and saved me from all distress.
8 Gustate, e vedete quanto il Signore è buono; Beato l’uomo che spera in lui.	8 The angel of the LORD, who encamps with them, delivers all who fear God.
9 Temete il Signore, voi suoi santi; Poichè nulla manca a quelli che lo temono.	9 Learn to savor how good the LORD is; happy are those who take refuge in him.
10 I leoncelli soffrono necessità e fame; Ma quelli che cercano il Signore non hanno mancamento di alcun bene	10 Fear the LORD, you holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him.
11 Venite, figliuoli, ascoltatemi; Io v’insegnerò il timor del Signore.	11 The powerful grow poor and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
12 Quale è l’uomo che abbia voglia di vivere, Che ami lunghezza di giorni per veder del bene?	12 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
13 Guarda la tua lingua dal male, E le tue labbra da parlar frode.	13 Who among you loves life, takes delight in prosperous days?
14 Ritratti dal male, e fa’ il bene; Cerca la pace, e procacciala.	14 Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies.
15 Gli occhi del Signore son verso i giusti, E le sue orecchie sono attente al grido loro.	15 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
16 La faccia del Signore è contro a quelli che fanno male, Per isterminare la lor memoria d’in su la terra.	16 The LORD has eyes for the just and ears for their cry.
17 I giusti gridano, e il Signore li esaudisce, E li libera da tutte le lor distrette.	17 The LORD'S face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth.
18 Il Signore è presso di quelli che hanno il cuor rotto, E salva quelli che hanno lo spirito contrito.	18 When the just cry out, the LORD hears and rescues them from all distress.
19 Molte son le afflizioni del giusto; Ma il Signore lo libererà da tutte.	19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed.
20 Egli guarda tutte le ossa di esso: E niuno ne può esser rotto.	20 Many are the troubles of the just, but the LORD delivers from them all.
21 La malvagità farà morire il malvagio, E quelli che odiano il giusto saran distrutti.	21 God watches over all their bones; not a one shall be broken.
22 Il Signore riscatta l’anima de’ suoi servitori; E niuno di quelli che sperano in lui sarà distrutto	22 Evil will slay the wicked; those who hate the just are condemned.
	23 The LORD redeems loyal servants; no one is condemned whose refuge is God.
