1 Canto de peregrinación. De Salomón. Si el Señor no edifica la casa, en vano trabajan los albañiles; si el Señor no custodia la ciudad en vano vigila el centinela.	1 A song of ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build. Unless the LORD guard the city, in vain does the guard keep watch.
2 Es inútil que ustedes madruguen; es inútil que velen hasta muy tarde y se desvivan por ganar el pan: ¡Dios lo da a sus amigos mientras duermen!	2 It is vain for you to rise early and put off your rest at night, To eat bread earned by hard toil-- all this God gives to his beloved in sleep.
3 Los hijos son un regalo del Señor, el fruto del vientre es una recompensa;	3 Children too are a gift from the LORD, the fruit of the womb, a reward.
4 como flechas en la mano de un guerrero son los hijos de la juventud.	4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children born in one's youth.
5 ¡Feliz el hombre que llena con ellos su aljaba! No será humillado al discutir con sus enemigos en la puerta de la ciudad.	5 Blessed are they whose quivers are full. They will never be shamed contending with foes at the gate.
