1 Now, concerning the ministry that is done toward the saints, it is not necessary for me to write to you.	1 Riguardo poi a questo servizio in favore dei santi, è superfluo che ve ne scriva.
2 For I know your willing mind. I glory about you, concerning this, to the Macedonians. For Achaia has also been prepared, for the past year. And your example has inspired very many others.	2 Conosco infatti bene la vostra buona volontà, e ne faccio vanto con i Macèdoni dicendo che l'Acaia è pronta fin dallo scorso anno e già molti sono stati stimolati dal vostro zelo.
3 Now I have sent the brothers, so that what we glory about concerning you might be not be empty in this matter, in order that (as I have explained) you may be prepared.	3 I fratelli poi li ho mandati perché il nostro vanto per voi su questo punto non abbia a dimostrarsi vano, ma siate realmente pronti, come vi dicevo, perché
4 Otherwise, if the Macedonians arrive with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you) would be ashamed in this matter.	4 non avvenga che, venendo con me alcuni Macèdoni, vi trovino impreparati e noi dobbiamo arrossire, per non dire anche voi, di questa nostra fiducia.
5 Therefore, I considered it necessary to ask the brothers to go to you in advance and to prepare this blessing as promised, and in this way, you may be ready as a blessing, not as an excess.	5 Ho quindi ritenuto necessario invitare i fratelli a recarsi da voi prima di me, per organizzare la vostra offerta già promessa, perché essa sia pronta come una vera offerta e non come una spilorceria.
6 But I say this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. And whoever sows with blessings shall also reap from blessings:	6 Tenete a mente che chi semina scarsamente, scarsamente raccoglierà e chi semina con larghezza, con larghezza raccoglierà.
7 each one giving, just as he has determined in his heart, neither out of sadness, nor out of obligation. For God loves a cheerful giver.	7 Ciascuno dia secondo quanto ha deciso nel suo cuore, non con tristezza né per forza, perché 'Dio' ama 'chi dona con gioia'.
8 And God is able to make every grace abound in you, so that, always having what you need in all things, you may abound unto every good work,	8 Del resto, Dio ha potere di far abbondare in voi ogni grazia perché, avendo sempre il necessario in tutto, possiate compiere generosamente tutte le opere di bene,
9 just as it was written: “He has distributed widely, he has given to the poor; his justice remains from age to age.”	9 come sta scritto: 'ha largheggiato, ha dato ai poveri; la sua giustizia dura in eterno'.
10 And he who ministers seed to the sower will offer you bread to eat, and will multiply your seed, and will increase the growth of the fruits of your justice.	10 Colui che somministra il seme al seminatore e il pane per il nutrimento, somministrerà e moltiplicherà anche la vostra semente e farà crescere i frutti della vostra giustizia.
11 So then, having been enriched in all things, you may abound in all simplicity, which works thanksgiving to God through us.	11 Così sarete ricchi per ogni generosità, la quale poi farà salire a Dio l'inno di ringraziamento per mezzo nostro.
12 For the ministration of this office not only supplies whatever the saints need, but also abounds through many thanksgivings in the Lord.	12 Perché l'adempimento di questo servizio sacro non provvede soltanto alle necessità dei santi, ma ha anche maggior valore per i molti ringraziamenti a Dio.
13 And so, through the evidence of this ministry, you glorify God by the obedience of your confession in the Gospel of Christ, and by the simplicity of your communion with them and with everyone,	13 A causa della bella prova di questo servizio essi ringrazieranno Dio per la vostra obbedienza e accettazione del vangelo di Cristo, e per la generosità della vostra comunione con loro e con tutti;
14 and they offer prayers for you, being solicitous about you, because of the excellent grace of God within you.	14 e pregando per voi manifesteranno il loro affetto a causa della straordinaria grazia di Dio effusa sopra di voi.
15 Thanks be to God for his ineffable gift.	15 Grazie a Dio per questo suo ineffabile dono!
