Zechariah 4

1 And the angel who had been speaking with me returned, and he awakened me, like a man who is awakened from his sleep.	1 L'ange qui me parlait revint et me réveilla comme un homme qui est tiré de son sommeil.
2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I looked, and behold, a candlestick entirely in gold, and its lamp was at its top, and seven oil lamps of it were upon it, and there were seven funnels for the oil lamps that were at its top.	2 Et il me dit: "Que vois-tu?" Je répondis: "Je regarde, et voici: il y a un lampadaire tout en or, avecun réservoir à son sommet; sept lampes sont sur le lampadaire ainsi que sept becs pour les lampes qui sontdessus.
3 And there were two olive trees upon it: one to the right of the lamp, and one to its left.”	3 Près de lui sont deux oliviers, l'un à sa droite, l'autre à sa gauche."
4 And I answered and spoke to the angel who was speaking with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”	4 Prenant la parole, je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: "Que signifient ces choses, mon Seigneur?"
5 And the angel who was speaking with me answered, and he said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”	5 L'ange qui me parlait me répondit: "Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses?" Je dis: "Non, monSeigneur."
6 And he answered and spoke to me, saying: This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying: Not by an army, nor by might, but in my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.	6 Alors il me répondit en ces termes: Voici la parole de Yahvé touchant Zorobabel: Ce n'est pas parla puissance, ni par la force, mais par mon Esprit - dit Yahvé Sabaot.
7 What are you, great mountain, in the sight of Zerubbabel? You are among the plains. And he will lead out the primary stone, and he will give equal grace to its grace.	7 Qu'es-tu, grande montagne? Devant Zorobabel, deviens une plaine! Il arrachera la pierre de faîte,tandis qu'on criera: "Bravo, bravo pour elle!"
8 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	8 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
9 The hand of Zerubbabel has founded this house, and his hands will complete it. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.	9 Les mains de Zorobabel ont fondé ce Temple: ses mains l'achèveront. (Et vous saurez que YahvéSabaot m'a envoyé vers vous.)
10 For who has despised the little days? And they will rejoice and will see the silver and lead stone in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the seven eyes of the Lord, which roam quickly through all the earth.	10 Car qui donc méprisait ce jour d'événements minimes? On se réjouira en voyant la pierre choisieen la main de Zorobabel. "Ces sept-là sont les yeux de Yahvé, ils vont par toute la terre."
11 And I responded and said to him, “What are these two olive trees to the right of the candlestick, and to its left?”	11 Je pris alors la parole et lui dis: "Que signifient ces deux oliviers, à droite du chandelier et à sagauche?"
12 And I responded a second time and said to him, “What are the two olive branches, which are next to the two golden ridges, in which are the pouring spouts of gold?”	12 (Je repris la parole et lui dis: "Que signifient les deux branches d'olivier qui, par les deux tuyauxd'or, dispensent l'huile"?)
13 And he spoke to me, saying, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”	13 Il me répondit: "Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses?" Je dis: "Non, mon Seigneur."
14 And he said, “These are the two sons of oil, who attend before the Sovereign of all the earth.”	14 Il dit: "Ce sont les deux Oints qui se tiennent devant le Seigneur de toute la terre."
