Leviticus 19

1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
2 Speak to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: Be holy, for I, the Lord your God, am holy.	2 Parla a tutta l'adunanza de' figliuoli d’Israele, e dirai loro: Siate santi, perocché santo son io il Signore Dio vostro.
3 Let each one fear his father and his mother. Observe my Sabbaths. I am the Lord your God.	3 Onori ciascheduno il padre suo, e la madre sua: osservate i miei sabati. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
4 Do not be willing to convert to idols, neither should you make molten gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.	4 Non vi rivolgete a' simulacri, e non vogliate farvi degli dii di getto. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
5 If you immolate a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, so that he may be appeased,	5 Se immolate al Signore un'ostia pacifica affin d’averlo propizio,
6 you shall eat it on the same day as when it was immolated, and the next day. Then whatever will remain on the third day you shall burn with fire.	6 Nel dì, in cui fu immolata, e nel dì appresso la mangerete: tutto quello poi che ne resti il terzo giorno lo darete alle fiamme.
7 If anyone, after two days, will have eaten from it, he shall be profane and guilty of impiety.	7 Chi dopo i due giorni ne mangerà, sarà profano, e reo d'empietà.
8 And he shall bear his iniquity, for he has polluted what is holy to the Lord. And that soul shall perish from his people.	8 E pagherà il fio di sua iniquità per aver profanato il Santo del Signore, ed ei sarà sterminato dalla società del suo popolo.
9 When you will have harvested the grain fields of your land, you shall not cut it down to the surface of the land, even to the ground, nor shall you gather the remaining ears of grain.	9 Quando tu segherai la messe de' tuoi campi, non mieterai fino a terra tutta la superficie delle tue terre: né raccoglierai le spighe, che potranno restarvi.
10 Neither shall you gather the clusters or individual grapes which fall down in your vineyard, but you shall leave them for paupers and travelers to take. I am the Lord your God.	10 E nella tua vigna non coglierai i raspolli, né prenderai i granelli che cadono: ma lascerai, che li prendano i poveri e i pellegrini. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
11 You shall not steal. You shall not lie. Neither shall anyone deceive his neighbor.	11 Non ruberete. Non direte bugia, e nissuno ingannerà il suo prossimo.
12 You shall not commit perjury in my name, nor shall you pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.	12 Non ispergiurerai nel mio nome, e non profanerai il nome del Dio tuo. Io il Signore.
13 You shall not slander your neighbor, nor shall you oppress him by violence. The wages of a hired hand, you shall not delay with you until tomorrow.	13 Non defraudare il prossimo tuo, e non lo opprimere con prepotenza. La paga dell'operaio che lavora per te, non resterà in tua mano sino al dì di poi.
14 You shall not speak evil of the deaf, nor shall you place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear the Lord your God, for I am the Lord.	14 Non parlerai male d'un sordo, e non porrai inciampo tra' piedi del cieco; ma temerai il Signore Dio tuo, perché io sono il Signore.
15 You shall not do what is unjust, nor shall you judge unjustly. You shall not consider the reputation of the poor, nor shall you honor the countenance of the powerful. Judge your neighbor justly.	15 Non farai ingiustizia, e non pronunzierai ingiusta sentenza. Non avere riguardo alla persona del povero, e non aver soggezione della faccia dell'uom possente. Giudica il prossimo tuo con giustizia.
16 You shall not be a detractor, nor a whisperer, among the people. You shall not stand against the blood of your neighbor. I am the Lord.	16 Non sarai maldicente, né soffione nel popol tuo. Non cospirerai contro il sangue del prossimo tuo. Io il Signore.
17 You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but reprove him openly, lest you have sin over him.	17 Non odierai il tuo fratello in cuor tuo; ma riprendilo pubblicamente, affinché tu non incorra per causa di lui in peccato.
18 Do not seek revenge, neither should you be mindful of the injury of your fellow citizens. You shall love your friend as yourself. I am the Lord.	18 Non cercar la vendetta, e non conservar la memoria dell'ingiuria de' tuoi concittadini. Amerai l'amico tuo come te stesso. Io il Signore.
19 Observe my laws. You shall not cause your cattle to breed with other kinds of animals. You shall not sow your field with diverse seeds. You shall not be clothed with a garment which has been woven from two things.	19 Osservate le mie leggi. Non accoppierai il tuo giumento con animale d'altra specie. Non seminerai il tuo campo con seme vario: non ti vestirai d'una vesta tessuta di due materie.
20 If a man will have slept in sexual intercourse with a woman, who is a servant and who is also able to be married, and yet he has not redeemed her with a price, nor paid to set her free, they both shall be beaten, but they shall not die, for she was not a free woman.	20 Se un uomo ha che fare con una donna, che sia schiava, e nubile prima che sia riscattata, e fatta libera, saranno battuti ambedue; ma non morranno, perché colei non era libera:
21 But, for his offense, he shall offer a ram to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.	21 Ma quegli offerirà al Signore pel suo delitto un ariete alla porta del tabernacolo del testimonio:
22 And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, before the Lord, and he shall win his favor again for him, and the sin shall be forgiven.	22 E il sacerdote farà orazione per lui e pel suo peccato dinanzi al Signore, e troverà clemenza, e gli sarà rimesso il peccato.
23 When you will have entered into the land, and will have planted in it fruit trees, you shall take away their first-fruits; the fruit that germinates shall be unclean to you, neither shall you eat from these.	23 Quando sarete entrati in quella terra, e vi avrete piantati degli alberi fruttiferi, voi rigetterete le prime frutta, che quelli produrranno, le quali avrete per immonde, e non ne mangerete.
24 But in the fourth year, all their fruit shall be sanctified for the praise of the Lord.	24 Il quarto anno poi tutti i loro frutti saranno consacrati alla gloria del Signore.
25 And in the fifth year you shall eat the produce, gathering the fruits which are brought forth. I am the Lord your God.	25 Il quinto anno ne mangerete i frutti, e raccoglierete tutto quello che ei produrranno. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
26 You shall not eat with blood. You shall not practice divination, nor the observation of dreams.	26 Non mangerete carni, dentro le quali sia il sangue. Non farete augurii, e non darete retta a' sogni.
27 And you shall not cut the hair of your head circularly, nor shave your beard.	27 Non vi taglierete i capelli in tondo: e non vi raderete la barba.
28 You shall not cut your flesh for the dead, and you shall not make other figures or marks on yourself. I am the Lord.	28 Non farete incisioni sulla vostra carne a causa d’un morto; e non farete figure o segno sopra di voi. Io il Signore.
29 Do not prostitute your daughter, lest the land be contaminated and filled with crimes.	29 Non prostituire la tua figliuola, affinché non si contamini la terra, e non si riempia di scelleraggini.
30 Observe my Sabbaths, and be apprehensive toward my Sanctuary. I am the Lord.	30 Osservate i miei sabati, e riverite il mio santuario. Io il Signore.
31 Do not turn aside to astrologers, nor consult with soothsayers, so as to be polluted through them. I am the Lord your God.	31 Non andate dietro ai maghi, e non interrogate gli indovini, perocché eglino vi corromperebbero. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
32 Rise up in the presence of a gray-haired head, and honor the reputation of an elder, and fear the Lord your God. I am the Lord.	32 Alzati dinanzi alla canizie, e rendi onore alla persona del vecchio: e temi il Signore Dio tuo. Io sono il Signore.
33 If a newcomer lives in your land and abides among you, do not reproach him,	33 Se un forestiero abita nel vostro paese, e fa sua dimora tra di voi, non lo rimprocciate:
34 but let him be among you like one native born. And you shall love him as yourselves. For you were also newcomers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.	34 Ma sia tra voi, come se tra voi fosse nato, e amatelo come voi stessi: perocché voi pure foste forestieri nella terra d'Egitto. Io il Signore Dio vostro.
35 Do not be willing to accomplish iniquity in judgment, in lengths, in weights, in quantities.	35 Non fate ingiustizia nei vostri giudizii, nella canna, nel peso, nella misura.
36 Let the scales be just and the weights equal, let the dry measure be just and the liquid measure be equal. I am the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt.	36 La stadera, e i pesi sien giusti: giusto l'epha, e l'hin. Io il Signore Dio vostro, che vi trassi dalla terra d’Egitto.
37 Keep all my precepts, and all my judgments, and accomplish them. I am the Lord.	37 Osservate tutti i miei precetti, e tutti i miei ordini, e mettetegli in pratica. Io il Signore.
