Psalms 114

1 Alleluia. I have loved: therefore, the Lord will heed the voice of my prayer.	1 Quando Israele uscì dall'Egitto, la casa di Giacobbe di mezzo a un popolo straniero,
2 For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him.	2 Giuda diventò il suo santuario, Israele il suo dominio.
3 The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow.	3 Il mare vide e se ne fuggì, il Giordano si volse indietro;
4 And so, I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, free my soul.	4 i monti saltellarono come arieti, le colline come agnelli d'un gregge.
5 Merciful is the Lord, and just. And our God is compassionate.	5 Che hai tu, mare, che fuggi, e tu, Giordano, che ti volgi indietro?
6 The Lord is the keeper of little ones. I was humbled, and he freed me.	6 Perché voi, monti, saltellate come arieti, e voi, colline, come agnelli d'un gregge?
7 Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you.	7 Trema, o terra, davanti al Signore, davanti al Dio di Giacobbe:
